Really? I think that if they find a way to replace Brewster’s goals they’re in a strong position. I recognise that that’s a big if though. Still, Rodon-Guehi (if fit) is likely to be the best CB pairing in the league. And Morgan Gibbs-White and Matt Grimes looks like a well-balanced midfield pairing. Also Steve Cooper seems like a good manager whereas I don’t rate the managers/head coaches of some of the other teams with decent squads (Bournemouth, and to a lesser degree Norwich with Farke).

I'm not an expert but my Swansea supporting friend isn't positive about the squad with various loanees going back to parent clubs.

Guess like us depends what happens before the window shuts.

It's easy to downplay Watford's chances next season, but you've got to ask yourself some basic questions.

    Best goalkeeper: Foster
Best wingbacks: Probably Estupinan and Ngakia
    Best midfielder: Capoue
    Best wingers: Sarr & Deulofeu
Best striker: Maybe Suarez, certainly he'll be in the top few.

We've got by far the best squad, even if we lose a few players here on in.

If we keep Sarr I'll be shocked.I don't see how we can afford to.He might play a few games for us but no more than that.
Gerry will be gone in the New Year and I also don't see all of Caps,Est and Suarez staying.
As others have said it is difficult to know who we will have available.I'd certainly take the 7 you mentioned though:)

Also I recall Quina absolutely dominating Cardiff in one of his first ever professional matches.

We did the double over Norwich and took 4 points off Bournemouth.

We underperformed enormously last season but that was down to lack of application, not lack of quality. I think Ivic will be a fine manager and we will have a good season. An excellent one if we get Grimes, keep Sarr, Suarez and Estupinan.

I'm pretty sure we'll keep Suarez, I'm not overly worried about him leaving at this stage tbf, and we also have Perica, Murray and Gray (lol) in reserve. Think we'll keep Estupinan, not sure about Sarr, but they'll be hard to replace. Hughes and Capoue obviously won't be 'easy' to replace if they leave, but the likes of Grimes, Busquets and Davies would be decent replacements at this level

And therein lies the problem.Too many imponderables.
Best case we get 100 points
Worse case we struggle and have another 2-3 coach season.
As long as it's fun I won't mind.

  18. Hogg-DEENEY!!!

Loads of imponderables for every team tbf! Some teams don't have anyone in certain positions, Brentford have loads of players who *could* move, I'd say apart from Norwich who seem to have sorted about 80% of their incomings (still loads who will be sold I bet, but they're covered for that), everyone is in a state of flux

Yes that is true enough but we have no idea if our coach will be any good or if we'll need to keep selling players at the end of the window.
I can't remember when a 37 year old striker played a pivotal role in a promotion from The Championship.

Yes but I wasn't including playoffs:)
Although that season under Zola was so much fun I'd take that again anyday.
