I will be amazed if we finish in the top 6.
Mid table to a lower position. We will avoid relegation

Very difficult to do this until all the incoming and outgoings are final. I mean we could be anything from favorites to midtable flotsam.

If the board don't screw it up with their outgoing transfers, then we'll win the league with probably a record points total.

DERBY - good side, very inconsistent, could be their year
PRESTON NE - always pushing hard for the playoffs, could scrape it
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BRENTFORD - probably turning into the new "Leeds" as everyone wants to beat. Will just fall short
NORWICH - a bit like us, play good football sometimes, other times pretty dire. They do have youth and a good academy to tap onto
WATFORD - as much as I want to say top two, I think this season we be sort of a baptism of fire for some of our big guns. We should do enough to at least finish top six
BRISTOL CITY - very much the most inconsistent side in this division, playoffs would be a solid achievement
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOURNEMOUTH - without St Eddie at the helm. they may find it difficult to adjust to a new ethic. Still a decent enough squad to give the playoffs a push
SHEFF WED - very big club in history talking, but have failed to really push promotion since relegated the same year we went down under GT. Have an average squad, so a below par finish
QPR - I hate their fans, but the team are hard working and they work as a solid unit. They usually start badly then finish about here, so same again
MIDDLESBROUGH - gotten a bit lost as side since dropping out the Prem. Great ground and a proud history. I expect them to push top half, but are far from the expected side we knew about
MILLWALL - awful fans aside - they are a bit of dark horse. They could break into the top six and are a side who can go on a decent run. Not as poor as they once were
BLACKBURN - not sure what happened to this club. Won the Prem in 1995, but very much a team of the past. Decent fans - very loyal. Got to be a midtable season
STOKE - had a bit of a relegation hangover last few seasons. Hard to beat and still this divisions "Burnley"
NOTTS FOREST - a bit like Boro', very respected club but very much stuck in this division. Not really challenging on any front, bit of a meh side overall
SWANSEA - very good last season but blew it when it mattered most. Need a few seasons to really challenge again
CARDIFF - similar to their above rivals, need to rebuild a little to push for a higher finish
HUDDERSFIELD - very dull football wise, never got going last season and I can see them struggling again
COVENTRY - great to see them back in the top two divisions. Surviving this season will be seen as a good target
BIRMINGHAM - Deeney's home boys, but one of the weaker sides overall. They have a big fanbase, but their rivally with Villa keeps them on everyone's radar
BARNSLEY - one of the best managers in this division right now, I think they will steer a bit more clear of trouble this season, and probably build next season
ROTHERHAM - bit of a yo-yo club as of late, tough to beat despite being a below average side. I feel they will survive... just
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
READING - this has been coming for a while. Another side who have been very below par for a few seasons. This might be one too many
WYCOME - just cannot see them staying up first time away. They will have to quickly adapt to a tougher league and might not have the inner strength to do it
LUTON - not just a hate thing, but they should of gone last season. They are poor through the spine and concede to many goals. They won't escape this time

The top 5 points tallies in the Championship are:
    Fulham, 2000/01 - 101pts
    Leicester City, 2013/14 - 102pts
    Newcastle United, 2009/10 - 102pts
    Sunderland, 1998/99 - 105pts
    Reading, 2005/06 - 106pts
(The only 5 to break 100 points.)
However, you'll remember that Wolves were the greatest team ever in the Championship.

Nope. Impossible for us to finish in any other position! Tbh I hate predicting where Watford will finish as I feel like it jinxes them (yes I am a rational person). Feel much more confident predicting how other teams will do.

Yes but Wycombe will only get about 7 points. Not sure who they will get the 7th point against.

That looks a very good guess. Knock us down about 6 places (based on the squad I think we will have when the window slams shut vs now) and I'd agree with you.

To early to make predictions IMO as we have no idea who is going to be at the club or what sort of system Vladimir is intending to play, therefore I reserve my judgement until these things have been resolved.

I will echo what some other have said: It's just too early to make predictions. We have no idea what the team will look like against Middlesbrough and it might be completely different to that after the transfer window.

Looking forward to having a number of new faces this season. However, much will depend on how quickly they settle - Suárez, Persia, Pedro (effectively a new signing), Quina (can he fulfill his potential) etc. Much will depend on whether we keep Sarr. If so, it looks like we should have a stronger side then the team that nearly stayed up last year.

Initial musings from the club were very positive, but it does seem we're not in a position to properly plan forward, unlike Norwich who have been making many a good signing. I'll be making an early bet on then to win the 2022-23 Championship then!

No chance at all of this happening.
We will flirt with relegation if we sell the players being offered for sale. Not all will go, paper talk.
Mid table if we keep some of them.
Promotion? I just do not see this happening.
The Championship is at its weakest for years, it is why we are in it..

Surprised you’ve gone for Bournemouth winning the league, but pick us finishing second from bottom.

If Barnsley do get promoted, you’d have to say we missed a trick in passing up Struber for Ivic.

Some bold picks, but you know your stuff. Off to the bookies now.
