Tis a fact of life that unless one polices oneself somebody else will do it for you. No one will chase you off if you get on with peeps.

Dont let those Brighton players see your "inbox" either ffs. You could have a funny walk for a few weeks if you do. But I am guessing thats just the Brighton way these days.

This is a tough one; would I rather have a player that plays well for ten games a season or a team with five rapists in it?

    Hmmmm...

But he's right?! I take it back, 'RookeryLad' is not the worst troll ever, 'Caskey' is!

Congrats to 'Buckles' today, just a shame that you aren't taking the league by storm like you promised Caskey ....

A ban would be nice if it meant I didn't have to read your drivel for a week.

I think I'd probably have to do something a bit more than express a widely known fact however.

2 good goals for him today. i dont think we were robbed, got a good enough fee for him based on last seasons performances. had about 7 good games for us all season, so i was quite happy to get a million for him. if he is performing well for you then good for you guys, not really bothered myself. he looked pretty poor by all accounts against wrexham in the week, his diving was shameful.

    thats just pathetic.

Cheers mate. I do enjoy chatting and reading your posts. Big thumps up to you.

Honest question mate. Are you starting to regret selling Buckley now ?

I don't think anyone regrets it, if anything there is just a bit of frustration that he only turns it on a few games a season. Similar to when we had McNamee and Ashley Young, McNamee was technically a far superior player but he was really inconsistent.

Serious question, how many games has he been on form this season? And how annoyed do you get with his diving?

Sorry mate i don't believe you. I have read from certain posters that you lack creativity and pace in your side. The only player who has that is Sordell and pinning your hopes on a young talent like him to perform consistently is a bit much.

As for Buckley you can tell he is Championship class. He is cut above nearly all our players and he has a habit of scoring important goals.

It also appears he has got over his recent bout of hamstring injuries. That was the only injury he has been getting. He played the whole match against Wrexham and extra time on Wednesday and today with only a couple of days rest. All this rubbish about him being made of glass is exactly that.

Fast players like him tend to suffer hamstring injuries.

Your team misses him and any Watford fan who says they are not are simply bullsh1tting.

I don't think I worded it well. We need a wide player and someone like an on form Buckley would fit the bill perfectly. If you are asking me if I would like to see an on form Buckley in the WFC team then the answer would be yes - absolutely. But we are not in a position to have players in our team that will only perform one game out of seven or eight so I think our sights will be set on someone with less quality but more consistency.

What do you think to his diving though? And the otehrs in your team that do it? Nine bookings for it in one season is a heck of a lot.

Players dive all the time and so i'm not fazed by it. I think you are getting confused slightly mate. Defenders hate fast players like Buckley and it doesn't take much to send them tumbling over if slight contact is made. The sheer speed these players run at is hard for them to stay on their feet.

Why are you saying he isn't consistent enough ? 18 games roughly played and most of them as sub and yet he still scored 6 goals. I can't believe he is only 22.

As for the amount of bookings we get again i'm not too bothered. Some of our players are simply not good enough but this will be rectified next season. I'm absolutely chuffed with this season so far.

well, personally i would not have sold him as i thought he had something to offer. i agree he is lightning quick and on his day he is probably one of the better wingers in the championship. however he had far too many off days for us last season where he just did not turn up, and so i can completely understand the clubs decision to sell him for what is a reasonably good fee. he is about as strong as a light breeze, and does seem to be rather injury prone but again he shows he knows how to score goals.

my real problem lies with the fact that we have not replaced him. we bought in yeates, who like buckley can have moments of quality but is incredibly inconsistent. when we had kightly the gap was filled, but now that he has gone back to wolves there is that space open again. so long as we can get someone in the fill the void then im not too worried about our season.

i dont think buckley will ever be a premier league winger, he just is not consistent enough. put it this way i hope he is as we have a sizeable sell-on fee apparently. i also often wondered if we would have been better off fielding him up front rather than on the wing, not sure where he really plays for brighton.

Hahahahahaa you utter moron. All I can say, is i've seen you play at the Vic, my family member, a forest fan went to the 'Amex' and saw you play and a palace mate has seen you play and we have all said the exact same thing. The wonderful football you played last season has gone and instead, its ugly, full of dives and general unpleasantness.

Because in his last season for us, around January time he went on a good run for about seven games. He was unstoppable and won player of the month, but that was about the only time he performed through the season. Why have most of his appearances for you been as sub?

The diving thing is a shame but most people on here will agree with you. I put up a poll a few months ago asking if most people would rather we drew a game 0-0, or won the game late on with a penalty when one of our boys had blatantly dived for it. Surprisingly, most chose that winning by cheating was better than a draw. Maybe it is the modern day game, or maybe it is just me but I would rather my club do things with a degree of honour, class and dignity as opposed to cheating.

I think as it becomes more a part of the game more people are happy to go along with it and accept it.

I've already had you on my mantle piece with this when I pointed out your crowds in comparision to your competition and population.

I agree he has championship class, but the question has to be why has he only played 18 games, many from the bench ? Its because he lacks consistancy. Not many players move within the championship for £1m and aren't a first team regular, esspecially in a side where you state yourself some players just aren't good enough.

The fact that you paid £1m and he isn't starting reguarly suggests it was a good price for the player

Sorry mate, I can't believe that, you were going to storm this league remember, automatic promotion, maybe top 6. As it is you are sitting mid table obscurity. Either your expectations were far to high or you are under achieving

Don't think many Watford fans could question his quality when he was fit and playing well. The problem was, he'd rarely be both of those at the same time. As most have said, if he adds consistency to his game - he'll be a real threat in this division. We'll see how it turns out.

If the football was that bad as you say then you would have thought people would stay at home wouldn't you ? Explain why we are averaging over 20k ?

You don't have a sell on mate. You got 1 million for him.

The reason why Buckley has been used as a sub more is because ..

    1) Every time he appears to be back from an injury he broke down.

    2) Poyet mainly uses 1 winger and not two in games. Nooney has been in fantastic form.

    3) Buckley obviously needed time to adjust to our style of football.

hence it would be lovely if he did well for himself and earned a big money move to the bigtime, but i personally can't see it happening.

How many of them go on to add it though? Especially wingers.

Did mean to add, that considering we've lost players who were far better than Buckley, for similar prices, I feel like we did well in this deal. I wouldn't have minded him being with us this season, but at the same time, we got a decent price for him. I think it was a good deal all round tbh. We got a good price for a guy who can be very hit and miss. You got a guy who is obviously playing well when he's fit. Hopefully he continues so we can cash in on the sell-on fee. It's win-win for both clubs really.

So every time he has come back from injury he has broken down, and a couple of those were down to Gus for rushing his back. How many times has he been injured?! We're only half way through the season!

    Yes!

    Come on people- admit it!

As inconsistent as he was- I would rather him with his attacking ability turn up 50% of the time than somebody as half as good, turning up 70% of the time.

In his first game of the season his goals won them 3 points and today he has done the same- 6 points in 2 games - 20% of our total so far!
