Brighton is a seaside town south of Balham which is the gateway to the south. 65 miles south of London, the town has been a popular day trip resort from Victorian times when it started a car rally in 1896 and is now the longest running such annual rally in the world. Brighton has a shingle beach which pissed me off as a boy cos I thought beaches were supposed to be made of sand. Situated by the pretty South Downs, Brighton has a pier and ‘many other attractions’. Apparently there is a football game going on somewhere near the town tomorrow at which the locals are playing the famous Hornet Stag Hart Mooses identity confusion team from Watford in Hertfordshire.
