They said on the weather forecast that tomorrow there will be BIG waves on the West coast. Maybe 5 to 10 metres high.

I have a day off and wondered where would be a good place to go to see these waves? This is bearing in mind the Covid restrictions in Wales. What about somewhere like Weston? Anybody got any good suggestions?

Id suggest the news at 6 or 10 oclock where a relatively junior reporter will be standing next to a sea wall getting wet and pondering their life options.

Tides. You need to check them. No point going to Weston if the sea is two miles down the beach if you want it crashing on the seafront.

Generally big waves are biggest in the SW on the North coast starting from Bideford Bay and heading west. But if the conditions are right the South Coast harbours like Lyme Regis could also get a photogenic beating.

It’s all a long way to go for a day though.

Guardians of the Galaxy is better than the sequel but both films are fairly entertaining.

A bit of a long way for a day but Nazare in Portugal is the place for waves. Cheap flight to Lisbon (about 90km away) and catch a train (about 10 quid)
