Hi all, Welcome to this seasons game. You'll have to bear with me whilst I get up and running, after Reids delivered the game so effectively in recent years. Whilst many of you will have played this game before, I'll start with a recap of the rulezzz (most of it shamelessly stolen from Reids): The Set-up, Cycles & how to enter - NEW Firstly, all bets are theoretical, you don't actually have to stake any money to be involved! Everyone on the forum can use their £100 pocket-money each week, to pick out up to 3 bets. These bets can consist of any combination of stake, as long as the total stake does not exceed £100 per game cycle. There will be 2 cycles per week, and a thread will be created for each cycle. One cycle will be opened on Monday for events which take place on Monday - Wednesday, and another cycle will open on Thursday for events from Thursday-Sunday. Once closed, there can be no more entires for that cycle. To make an entry, you have to do both of the following (missing out either step will render your entry void!). 1. Go to the following spreadsheet, and fill in your entry: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pgd7CexYiGkeXuuRvFOx1TDl76Q33fcyqeHN_Kj1JeY/edit?usp=sharing You will need to enter your username, the type of event, the specifics of the bet itself (please be clear), the bookmaker, odds and your stake. The odds must be entered in decimal format or you will lose money! I have created a decimal converter on the spreadsheet (type your fraction in the yellow box at the bottom of the sheet and the decimal will appear next to it), however it might be easier to convert your oddschecker/ betting site to display decimals). Please double-check in the column total stake that this does not exceed £100 (if so, the figure should be highlighted red), or your bet will be void. 2. Copy and paste the entries into the correct cycle thread on the site. And that is it. At the end of each cycle, I will check each bet and mark if it won/ lost. If you get excited and want to do this process yourself, feel free - but please let me know you have done so. Once this has been done, I will enter a summary of the gameweek results and the overall summary in the threads. Alternatively, there will be a scores pivot table in the spreadsheet, which should automatically update and display this information. The naff rules and stuffz: You need to give us the odds for your bet to be valid (and it needs to be entered in decimals!). You can either just use your bookmaker of choice or use oddschecker to get the best odds for your bet. Please also post the bookie where you sourced the odds from. No in-play bets (will be too hard to verify odds and timings etc). No exclusive bets for new customers will be allowed. I will however allow bets on special events i.e. Eurovision/ Wrestlemania, but the bet needs to be settled in that game-week, and rules on the bet on the site need to be followed (such as max £20 bet). If the event type is not listed, let me know and I will add it for you. No long-time frame bets (aka Chelsea to win the league - again bets will have to be settled within the cycle) If someone's doing well and you end up actually placing bets on their selections, please don't criticise them for losing! Neither me or WFC Forums are responsible for any losses that may occur if you do decide to stake real money off peoples tips. The forum member with the highest amount of profit on the 1st June 2018 will win a customised username (if @Meister is happy with that?), and a place in the hall of fame. Any questions - just let me know!
