NO NO NO you've gone backwards after the crayfish it's: who rigs every oscar night? DO YOU KNOW NOTHING?
You see Fitz, you Yanks are lucky. You wanna know why? This board gets brilliant at around midnight. Now I'm a teenager and I get tired, so I'm not usually on y'hear? But you, you get to experience this at 8 o'clock in the evening! That's premier forum surfing time. Tell your LARS frinds to check us up, because frankly, this is the most fun I've had in a long time. That 'Cathcer in the Rye' tone was totally accidental by the way
7 hours different on the west coast. The LARS boards warm up around 1am your time, and probably 7pm your time, coinciding with after dinner, then Lunchtime respectively. I dread rush hour...so boring.
Oh my word: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a67890/posh-spice-fails-to-tip-waitress.html Posh Spice fails to tip waitress Thursday, July 26 2007, 14:21 BST By Alex Fletcher Victoria Beckham ignored the traditional American custom of tipping waitresses after a meal with actress Katy Holmes, say reports. Posh Spice lunched with Tom Cruise's wife at the Mondrian Hotel's Asia De Cuba but failed to leave a tip for the service. A report in the Baltimore Sun claims that the Spice Girl left the bill to her new Hollywood friend and was chased out by an angry waitress after the incident, who was apparently only stopped by Beckham's security team. The pop star was later spotted sharing her car with another celebrity, Desperate Housewivesstar Eva Longoria, with husband David Beckham driving the couple across LA. A TIP IS TO BE EARNED. NOT TO BE EXPECTED. I now hate all Americans
What is this verb "to big (one) up"? Y&P, you already hated us. Anyway, the waitress was probably an illegal Mexican.
Do Watford players ever buy you guys beer? Landon Donovan and his wife Bianca did for us...$600 in an envelope that read: We drank some of it Tuesday before the Pachuca game, will have a lot more Saturday before the Chivas de Guadalajara game.
Is that Bianca of Rules of Engagement fame! To be fair Landon is a god. How can I become a member? Or, do you know what the Chicago Fire equivalent is?
Yes, it is the Bianca from that show...I think she got a little miffed that we didn't buy her a season seat, but did for Posh. We've been down on Landon for being stellar one game and invisible the next, but I'd say this move redeemed him. BIG TIME. We always welcome supporters who 'get' LARS. We are kind of like a big inside joke. It appears as if Landon has finally 'gotten' us. If you're serious about joining, there are two ways and both are very very easy: 1) Support the Galaxy, buy a ticket in Sec 138 and stand with us. -Majority of LARS'ers simply show up in the lot before the game and share beer with one another. 2) Support the Galaxy and read the board. -We have a rapidly growing English contingent, but also have an Aussie, a Chinese, a couple of Scotsmen, a couple New Yorkers, a couple Bostonians, a couple San Franciscans, and a guy from Japan.
Cracks me up...thisislondon.co.uk published this picture with a headline "Frustrated Galaxy fans hold up 'wanted' posters of Beckham". This guy isn't a Galaxy fan, but instead is a fan of the team the Galaxy beat 6-5 yesterday, FC Dallas. English press is crazy about the "truth", ain't they. Hee hee: I'm here to entertain.
FYI, here is the Galaxy's schedule for the next 4 weeks, including both league fixtures and the 'Superliga' games: Aug 5 - Away at Toronto Aug 9 - Away at DC Aug 12 - Away at NE Aug 15 - fly all the way back to LA, to play DC Aug 18 - fly back across the country to play in NY Aug 23 - fly back to LA for Chivas derby Aug 26 - fly out to Colorado Sept 1 - fly home again for Salt Lake That's nearly 16,500 miles logged in the air by my rough estimate.
Jerseys flying off shelves It's all about the money... Jerseys flying off shelves By Charles Cuttone Executive Editor It seems that American soccer fans can’t get enough of David Beckham. While adidas had reported early after Beckham’s arrival that over 200,000 replica jerseys had been sold, adidas’ figures represented their sales to retailers, not actual sales to consumers. But apparently, retailers are having a hard time keeping up with the demand for the Beckham shirt. “It’s amazing what has occurred,’ said Dan Manson of Soccer Post, the nation’s largest chain of retail soccer stores. “Our hope was it was going to take our jersey sales to the next level,” he said. “The day we opened the box, we were getting 50% sell through.. It’s been more than I ever expected.” According to Manson, the chain, which has 10 stores in New Jersey, as well as six in Southern California, is expecting sales to continue to be strong. “Once he plays at Red Bulls (Aug 18th) we are expecting an even bigger spike. It’s amazing that he can create that excitement.” Manson says the chain has already placed a re-order for the famous 23 jersey. Even better from Manson’s standpoint, “Its all added sales.” Manson sees people coming into his stores that are not the typical soccer buyers. “adidas and MLS have don an amazing job selling the Beckham brand. It’s more than soccer.” Sales of the Beckham jersey as well as Beckham/Galaxy t-shirts have also been strong in non-traditional soccer areas. ****’s Sporting Goods, which is an MLS sponsor, has made a big push with the Beckham gear, with prominent store front displays in all its stores. According to a sales clerk in the Salisbury, Md store, the Beckham gear “has been flying off the shelves.” Link:http://www.losangelessoccernews.com/article.php?article_id=1782
Yes, you spotted that, did you? ****'s bought the Colorado Rapids stadium naming rights leading to a bonanza of headline double entendre. "Rapid pounding at ****'s" springs to mind. I am a mere rank amateur however. How about: "****'s hot after Rapid-Fire blowout" Try it for yourself...Here are the other team names if it helps: Toronto FC Chicago Fire Colorado Rapids CD Chivas USA Los Angeles Galaxy Houston Dynamo New England Revolution Real Salt Lake FC Dallas Columbus Crew DC United New York Red Bull Toronto FC Kansas City Wizards
on a sidenote, someone needs to sort out the naming of those teams. when did salt lake get a monarch to live there?
That's great...glad we don't run in the same circle because I'm stealing it. We often call the Crew either "Men at Work" or "The Village People"
i gotta say that i was quite pleased with that effort. especially after checking wikipedia to find that columbus was actually from the 15th century!
