Erm... hmm... after due consideration I think you're making a bit of a leap when you conclude that, based on his comments about Crimewatch and Childline, Davy has 'clearly never done a single thing in your life, public services, volunteering, whatever of any benefit to anyone else' - but as I'm all in favour of over-reacting and getting things massively out of perspective I'll remain neutral in this one

 

My point is simply that people who do useful things tend to recognise and respect the useful things others do. But I also like a bit of florid language.
