Out of my depth with the etiquette.

I did sign a Change.org petition to get Brian Griffin reinstated (actually brought back to life) but was then submerged with by a thousand whiney, apple cheeked millennial specials.

They’d broken the padlock on their FB cage & were heading towards the real world.

No doubt Sullivan will respond to his delusions of fantasy.

He talks like a child, making up a story in real time, without even rehearsing something plausible beforehand. Everything he says gets blown apart instantly.

He always acts so aggressively, and he doesn't care as to who he goes after. Sending threats to the administrators now in the latest long line of people he threatened to sue.

We've long known he's a complete nutter, so why does this guy get taken seriously and considered credible by so many people? That's the most baffling thing I find in all this.

Sounds like he has been making threats to Bolton - sounds familiar!

It that not a criminal offence?

As I say, I actually genuinely think he may be ill and have some psychological issues.

Apparently Bolton cannot fulfil their League One fixtures as it stands.

In the old days we use to get a lot of Bassini on the tele it's called interference, if he had stay out of the situation they would probably have been done and dusted and looking forward to playing football, as it is with him continually putting spanners in the works they don't know what's going on!

With Bury in trouble as well (most of their promotion winning squad seems to have left the club) could only be 22 clubs next season in League One.

Terrible to see clubs go bust when you see the money swilling round the pockets of agents and non contributing top league players like Sanchez, Ozil and Prodl.

I’ve been saying for years that PL clubs should pay an arbitrary amount each season to put into a pot that helps pay players wages when their clubs fall into such situations. And then the amount paid becomes payable through the courts by the debtor club’s owners.

Sadly, I do eventually see a system whereby clubs like Bury and Bolton can be bought by Man City for example and be used as their B or C team and used for youth players.

If every PL club could be bullied into paying £250k last season to give Richard Scudamore his golden handshake, I’m fairly certain asking each club for £25k to help pay fellow professionals wouldn’t be sniffed at.

Sad to see but Bury have been on the edge for a few years now. they have always been a very small club with small following and catchment area but the owners have failed to cut their cloth accordingly. Shame, always had a soft spot for them, you know how you sort of latch onto a couple of clubs as a small kid. Who would want to buy them when they have huge debts and very little likelihood of revenue growth ? Their future is bleak. Even without the financial trouble they have always been more likely to slip into the non leagues than become an established Div 1 club.

Bolton are a completely different animal but again owners allowed spending to exceed income and a failure to address costs especially after relegation from the prem has hung over them for years now. It would be sad for a decent sized club with great history and stadium to go to the wall.

Totally agree with you over the Scudamore situation. That was disgusting, however, I don't feel that any club, be they Premier League or not, should be paying into a pot to help out clubs in trouble. That's open to abuse with owners even more likely to get into trouble as they know they will get a bail out. It takes away their responsibility and obligations.

All clubs should stand on their own two feet. If they go to the wall, down to mismanagement or for whatever reason, it's sad for the fans, but it is what it is. Clubs have to take responsibility for themselves and only themselves......IMO.

A much better thing would be to give money to "grass roots" football. Parks where kids play. That's healthy and a good thing for the professional game to do.

    I agree on all points.

And I also agree on what you say about PL clubs not having to bail out lower league clubs as it would be open to abuse by owners. If you could make it some sort of charter that owners have to sign themselves into, thereby making them liable for any withdrawals made from the fund etc, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility. But I accept it would be a minefield to setup.

I just think that the clubs at the top have a duty to grow the professional game as a whole. When there is so much money flying about at the top, it’s not right that clubs with so much history are close to going to the wall over small amounts (although I know it’s multi-millions in Bolton’s case) owed.

But in reality, a lot of it would be cleared up by the FA, FL and PL being diligent about who they let own football clubs.

Yep but I think it only goes so far, and I also think that specific plan has exceptions. Not sure what they are but I remember reading it when the big scandal broke about just how much Gordon Taylor has earned whilst being the unelected and unchallenged head of the PFA.

Now going to hold a meeting in their car park!

Laurence Bassini has issued an open invitation for Bolton supporters to meet him at the University of Bolton Stadium on Monday evening.

Bassini, who is involved in a public dispute with Wanderers administrators David Rubin & Partners over an apparent rejection of a takeover bid, insists fans are being fed lies through the local media.

The former Watford owner claims to have held dialogue with first-team manager Phil Parkinson, as well as former players David Wheater and John McGinlay, and reiterated previous claims that he is being 'blocked' in his attempts to strike a deal.

"They [the fans] have been hoodwinked," Bassini told the Jewish Telegraph. "They have been told things that are not true and they deserve better than that.

"From day one I showed that we had the funds to go forward. I've shown that we'll pay the creditors 100% in the pound.

"That has also been dismissed because there are other agendas going on.

"I've offered to pay the players. I've sent a messages to the manager and to David Wheater. I've also sent a message to the powers that be but they just dismiss and have no interest in having the right thing done.

"I've spoken to John McGinlay. Fans can ask him if I've got the funds and everything to do this.

"I have tried but I am being blocked at every avenue. My intentions are only good for this club and for the future of this club before it ends up going down into liquidation.

"The EFL, in due course, will have a lot to answer for when I produce what I'm going to produce - and they know this."

Bassini continued by inviting supporters to gather at the Nat Lofthouse statue outside the University of Bolton Stadium, with an open invitation in place for 18:30.

"You deserve better than this," he added. "I want to show you everything so then you know I'm telling you the truth.

"You are not being told the truth and you need to know what is really going on.

"The only way is if you come and meet me. I'm coming especially to see you guys. Come and see for yourself and find out before it is too late. We are running out of valuable time.

"There is a judicial review for which we are now making the application regarding what has gone on. That's a very serious matter and if it wasn't that serious I wouldn't be doing it because what you are being told is not correct.

"The only way to prove this is for me - myself - to come and show you all the evidence.

"Let me come and save your club before it is too late. Do not let 145 years of beauty and passion, an icon, disappear because people are doing it for financial gain."

for **** sake, this **** used to actually own our club and people on here used to stick up for him. He's beyond parody. A gibbering public disgrace.

I hope a few Bolton fans turn up and hoof him all over that car park before he gets his podgy fingers on their club.

In fairness, the latter only happened while he was still an unknown quantity. People were giving him the benefit of the doubt.

    Which he duly squandered.

Bolton fans don't have that excuse - he's a known and proven chancer now.
