Thought it was rather funny that the ballboys only wiped clean our balls! Didnt work though, DID IT!!!!
Getting worried if we've got to play games like that. First red card as well even though it was soft. Not pleased with the way we carried ourselves.
its great when warnock is wound up, who saw when he was standing in chris powells way so he couldnt take the throw? what a fat...pie....
IMO the ballboy was the most entertaining person there tonight... had me and my nephew laughing even though it was a depressing game.
I don't agree with this sort of thing. Bad sportsmanship is not the Watford way. Yes, the Utd players were rolling all over the place and play acting, but two wrongs don't make a right.
I dont agree that it was right to do it but i just found it funny at the way warknob was reacting... there were more important things to worry about, i know he had a point but all it did was highlight how bad a game it was that that seemed to be his main concern for so much of it. The ballboy got more airtime than he did out of it.. probably the most famous ballboy in the premiership now!! lmao
How is it bad sportsmanship? I really don't understand this 'Watford must be holier than thou' attitude some of our fans have, when we go to these bloody away grounds and get this so-called 'bad sportsmanship' throw back at us with interest. Anything we can do within the rules of football should be done if it helps the team. Granted, it's frustrating when we employ such tactics and still lose, but it'll be much more annoying if we get to the end of the season and the talk on MOTD is along the lines of "Well, Watford weren't really up to it strength wise but they were awfully nice chaps, weren't they?"
Oh grow up Warnock it's not like you always do things by the book!!!! It's not the Watford way but the Watford way is not getting us anywhere at the moment. Ref's only react to the loudest players, look at Hendo's booking last night. Back to Warnock....did anyone see his fit and not getting a throw-in. How over the top was that.
i don't want us to be the 'nice-guys' anymore. anything that will pi55 off another team i'm all for it. when i play football thats the way i play. anything to win, and thats what we need
It's nothing new, Cambridge Utd used to do it under John Beck, along with cold water in the away team showers and blasting them with loud music.
John Beck at Cambride: 1. Flat balls for the away team to warm up with. 2. Ballboys that only threw the balls back to the home players. 3. Massive signs in the corners with 'Quality' written on for his defenders to kick the ball at. 4. Cold tea for the away team at half time. 5. Flooded changing room for the away team. 6. Loud music piped into the away changing room. 7. Only cold water in the showers (away team only, of course) 7. Home dug out at half-way line, away dug out at edge of penalty box. 8. Hacking, diving, stamping, shirt pulling - if it's dirty, it's in. 9. Probably other things that weren't noticed. They were punching well above their weight by employing these tactics. Do anything to win? No thanks.
that fit was hilarious. "it came of his shin, waaa waaa ref give me the ball or ill throw a tantrum, waaa"
