Disagree. Our inability to score means that we are a set piece goal away from being dumped out of any game. Plus our away form means that the two legged nature of a play off semi is not ideal for us.

I think most of us would be happy with Ivic if it looked as though we were working towards playing a more fluid, attacking display.

I could stomach boring football if it looked like it was being done with further progression in mind, working from a solid base and slowly becoming more attacking-minded over time. Honestly, I think if it was the case he’s working toward a more progressive, fluid style, we’d be seeing more signs of it by now, given the time he’s had to work with the squad and implement his system.

Truthfully, I’d accept a few less points on the board at this point, if there was clear evidence that we were a work in progress toward something that looked as though a couple of months down the line would see us looking far more dangerous.

So, you’re left with the prospect of another 30 odd essentially joyless games watching us try to bore the opposition into submission.

    Yes, horrendously bored.

I know many won't agree - but whilst there are little to no fans, I kinda hoped football clubs would feel a duty to entertain and raise spirits a bit. Ivic has literally been the antithesis of 'entertainment'.

I've been trying to figure out what the reaction would be like if stadiums were still full. If we were (mostly) all seeing these performances live, would we feel more attached to it and cut the manager/team some slack? Or would we feel even more annoyed at the slow and dull fare on show?

I was never really a fan who placed a high value on being 'entertained' - perhaps because I had so many other things going on in life at any one time, that I didn't need to be engrossed in it...3 points was the main thing and followed by a few drinks or whatever. But this year has taken away nearly all those outside factors sadly and turgidly pondering our way through most games has just been magnified far more than perhaps it would in a normal season.

If stadia were fully open, there is no way Ivic's style would not be eliciting high levels of disaffection being expressed IN the Vic by now.

Like you, I used to sneer at the likes of Newcastle and Spurs fans, with their expectation of entertaining as well as winning football.

I've endured many a dismal Match but been delirious with joy at a nicked goal to secure an ugly but effective win.

I don't ever remember it being quite such a matter of policy though. Previously we might be necessarily defensive to try and grab a win against a superior side, or just have an off day during which we still kept our shape, but I don't remember an extended period where the game plan seemed to revolve around having 2 or 3 shots per game, every week.

Plus I don't ever remember us doing so when we were the team with the bigger budget. We are playing teams who are petrified of facing Sarr, Deeney and Chalobah, only to find that in reality, we are a tame, pedestrian opponent.

Im somewhere in the middle. It is boring but we havnt had our best team out and we are still in the mix for the automatic promotion spots.

To be fair we don't have an inability to score all the time. And an away 0-0 which some people are bored with right now would potentially come in handy as it gives us an opportunity to win the home leg and we have been good at home. Plus there is always a chance of more players being available late Spring to give us a boost :)

Have we played many games where we've been attacked like Blackburn attacked us? Genuine question, as I've recently decided not too watch the games, or have fallen asleep halfway through.

Yep this. Can anyone give me a team in this league that's produced a consistent run of entertaining football?

Yes, the football is boring. But I think the real trigger-word for me is 'frustration'.
I didn't want relegation, but I could 'get' the argument that, at least, we would be playing games in a more exciting league and on a more equal footing. But it doesn't seem like that. The standard of football seems poor: I think partly because coaches know two things: That their strikers are poor goal scorers and that they can organize a defensive display which will stop the opposition. And they nearly all believe in the fashionable coaching mantra of possession football coupled with manoeuvring the oppo players into leaving gaps (which everybody is onto and so it doesn't work).
But the big frustration for me is watching so many Watford players playing in such stupid ways. They choose (or are told to choose) such silly, wasteful passes and tactics. So often I am reduced to screaming impotently at the screen "make the forward pass!" or "Shoot" or "Hit it now". But the player doesn't: He stops, looks around for a few seconds and passes it back to a defender. Repeat, endlessly.

My responses to games has shifted. In the past when we won I would have a smile on my face. If we lost I would either have a rueful smile, depending on who we played and how we played, or be well pissed-off. With the current anti-football if we win my response may be a grunt. If we lose it is a very slightly more pissed-off grunt.

Whether they exist or not, I imagine it would be fairly difficult for anyone here to provide you with an answer on that, unless someone has coincidentally been choosing for some reason to shell out for the hive-live equivalent of another team in this league in addition to/instead of ours, and that particular team also happens to have been the one that has produced a consistent run of entertaining football.

I think from what I am aware of so far, Norwich have had periods of enormous injury issues to the point of not being able to field a striker, yet still managed to carry on playing the style they always have under Farke and, as it stands, top the table. You don't hear about a lot of insurrectionist Norwichers.

I wouldn’t be bored if the way we played second halves like against Rotherham were mostly effective, but they aren’t.

If we were genuinely good at going 1-0 up and seeing the game out I’d enjoy it a lot more, but we aren’t that good at it at all.

Rotherham are particularly poor, so it worked, but plenty of sides are good enough that when we start passing it back and forth they push forward and then we can’t reverse the slide, to the point we’re clinging on or concede anyway.

Winning generally isn’t boring, but turning wins into draws or grinding out draws is generally very boring.

Really, not bored? I have found myself ending up playing Sudoku on my phone and only looking up at the TV screen when something happens. For most of the games I only looked up when the full time whistle blew

Im pretty certain given how much the other team will want it and our players not giving a **** that a 2 leg semi final would result in 2 losses
