    in terms of signings?

I do fear our position of pretty much being doomed to all outsiders (and some insiders) will affect any hopes Aidy has of getting some lower league players in who might prefer to stay at their current club or join someone with more chance of staying up.

Hope we can bring in some good new players but don't be surprised if Aidy does not have any luck again.

While you are not all wrong - it would provide some aspiring players to get an opportunity to play in the Prem before the end of the season.

Sticking with their current clubs is no guarantee of future success, and to increase your pay and improve the C.V. may be big draw to lower league players.

The real problem is attracting experienced Prem. players - who would be a football manager?:)

why do we need experienced prem players, we bought powell and francis and they aren't even in the starting line up.
shittu, young, lee, foster, and mahon have never played in the prem and they have been our best players so far.
bouazza was on loan at swindon last season and he's been good too.

Even if we go down, it will still be a step up from where Scunny are now.
So there is no reason we shouldn't get Billy Sharpe or the kid from Rotherham.
Face it what other prem team is going to buy them with the intention of putting them straight in the first team, if they went to, Everton, Spurs for example they would be bench warmers at most, in that respect we ARE an attractive premiership prospect.
As for proven pemiership players, the likes of Collins John must be aching to get out on a pitch and play football, so as a loan deal, again we are an attractive prospect.
Someone somewhere must want to play for us, be good enough for the job, and just want the oppertunity to show that they can do the bizz.

I definitely was. I think that's where our season got farked. I won't be disappointed this window though as I don't expect us to get anyone remotely exciting. To be honest the Moses signing was a nice surprise to me - can't wait to see what he's capable of.

IMO Aidy is already planning for next season and the ones after that.

We probably got promoted a year ahead of his ACTUAL expectations and now he is busy building a squad of very young players that he can develop into a powerful group over the next 2-3 years. He will blend this youth with 3-4 more experienced players in the squad who can show the way.

I think his signings will continue to be younger guys with the odd mature player thrown in for the important positions - midfiled ball winner and centre halves.

If we go down this season I expect us to be challenging again next season and to be bloody good thereafter.
