Spot on. Yeah the quality of the footballs better, but thats not why i go to football to be honest. I go for the atmosphere, in the championship we get good atmospheres and entertaining, unpredictable end to end football.

The tickets are cheaper, the grounds are better and so are atmospheres. Roll on next season.

although i think going down would not hurt us as much as other clubs.
i would of course i would be bothered, if you dont want to be in the prem what is the point of playing, you have to aim to win and be the best, that is the general aim of sport and games in general, winning.
although we say we will go straight back up, i bet leeds also said that - and where are they now.

and bubble the word 'infected' with aidy's positiveness (is that a word?) is abit extreme.

    Clearly infected is a word!

It's not a criticism it's a compliment if anything! He knows how to gee the fans up and get them believing! I just think he was abit naive!

What do you think of this.

As somebody said to me...spending big is nothing more than a risk because it does not mean you are sure to stay up although does probably gives a better chance

Yes more dosh could have been spent on 3/4 more players IF they wanted to come and silly money was not being talked about (ie 4-6 million for one player) but there is the Leeds/Bradford and Ipswich factor (the latter 2 even stayed up a season and went into administration) which I think strikes fear into so many promoted clubs unless the chairman already has the money like Mr JJB at Wigan.

Is it worth spending 10 million in January on Championship/League one players when we are probably going down anyway in preperation for next season and another promotion battle?

Hi Bud - in response to the question - for example -Ialian football -high standard of skill, passing and tactics - bloomin boring to watch most games. Chelsea - boring to watch.

West Ham exciting to watch, Watford Exciting to watch, Bolton exciting to watch - i am entertained when excited, I am not entertained if put into hibernation mode - boring boring Arsenal -in the 80's they were 1 - 0 winners most weeks and utter boring - now they are the most entertaining (IMO) football outfit in England in the manner they play, they entertain. But it does not mean trophies however. So boring is more likely to win things these days. Gone are he old fashioned CF and wingers, when there used to be over 20 corners most games. Its all boring tactics in midfield and how to stifle the oppo and then break. Little action because the result is much more important than the performance.

What would we give to have the next 10 games as all 1-0 wins with no excitement, unfortunatl we do not have the quality to do that.

It's upsetting we couldn't make more of ourselves but... we can come stronger by building again in the fizzy pop league.

Also... I'm going to Germany for a year in September so I wouldn't be able to go anyway...

personally I am bothered, I know we got promoted a bit early, I know that Aidy is the master of optimisim and we were never that likely to stay up, I know that we don't have the quality/ quantity of players to survive and do well in this league but hey, I lived in hope.

I also expect we will come back a better team for it and next time in the premiership we will do much better.

But I just hate seeing us lose, I guess in another 25 years I may have got more used to it but at the moment I don't like seeing us lose. I think more importantly I wanted to show the all the people who said we would go straight back down and all the people who call us a 'cancer' in football what we could do and make them eat their words.

The season isn't over yet and until we actually get relegated I will live in hope;D
