Luckily for him he had some talent as a footballer, he has made the best of it though and left that life behind. Like what he said about not talking down to the kids that live in the same areas that he used to.
At times you take twattery to a new level Moog. Do you know any victims of knife crime? I do, both friend and foe. Shame on you.
Wide of the mark this one, even as sarcasm. New found respect for him from this, even if I still don’t rate him as a player.
But he managed to become rich from football which gave him the strength to resist his natural urge to stab people. What a darling.
Not sure he's said anywhere he had a 'natural urge' to stab people. I guess its open to interpretation but I think it's more a story of him starting out in life as a product of his environment and there being no other lifestyle available until football became a route out. Now we could all sit here and preach about the various things young people could do to escape that life but you only have to listen to the tales of young kids these days to realise it isn't as simple as that - until you've lived that life, I don't think any of us are in a position to criticise.
That's like effectively saying that perpetrators of all crime are absolved of criticism because we don't know the journey that has brought them to be criminals. I don't accept that. There's personal responsibility. Young Andre knew stabbing people was bad. What he chose to do was his own decision, however tempting.
I remember reading about his story a while back. How he associated with these horrible people and how he had to keep the shameful truth secret from his family. Eventually though he left Bedfordshire and joined Brentford.
Okay fair. But I still think what I’ve suggested is more plausible than him having a natural urge to stab people as you have said.
******* hell, Moog, this kind of tomfoolery just isn't acceptable. I for one am utterly disgusted. You're going to have to go on a sensitivity course before you lay a finger on this forum again. I am outraged.
