Some players may have been improved pre season under Silva. Lets just see how they get on before judging who should go.

Can do both. Will move to Lesta, but continue to yell at his ex colleagues down the phone.

Amrabat certainly no better than usual pre season. Totally ineffective.

If we do sign Carrillo we are going to scare the s**t out of everyone outside of the big boys with the pace of him, Richarlison and Gray and the creativity and skill of Pereyra.

The Peruvian shirt is my favorite international shirt - it's a yes from me

I think we definitely need a new winger; I liked the sound of that Cornet guy but will still be pleased if this is true. Must surely be an upgrade on Amrabat.

    Translated to:

Andrew Carrillo continues to wait for Benfica and the Watford reach an understanding that can take the edge of light. The Peruvian, 27 years old, did not enter in the accounts of Rui victory and is being negotiated by the SAD, there is no understanding yet.

For the loan to the Club from Marco Silva, Benfica asks for 2 million euros, with the emblem English getting an option to buy at the end of the season. While there is no news about the future, the Peruvian international continues to train every day in Seixal.

Yep. The way this season is going we could have the most fearsome treatment room in the Premier League.

Need this guy or another winger desperately, Richarlison looks great, but seems to be the only winger we have in the squad who is actually good enough.

Amrabat same as always on Saturday, worked hard, but scared to take a man on and end product absolutely shocking.

As for Success looks like he's started this season along the same lines as last season, not fit enough or just not consistent enough in training for Silva to pick him.

Winger and left back desperately needed, a goalkeeper to challenge Gomes would be nice but not as badly needed as these 2 positions.

You surely haven't seen enough of Richarlison to make that statement.

I can see that he looks great yeah, from what I've seen he does look great.

doesn't mean he is great though.

some people on here are too quick to criticise and don't actually read.

    or just thick.

A deal sounds some way off if we haven't even reached agreement on the edge of light yet.
Seixal sounds like a hell of a match.

Mine too. Always liked Peru as a kid. Cool shirt, cool team, and beating the Scots 3-1 with a couple of Cubillas thunderbolts only helped this. Unless Solano is coming out of retirement this might be our best chance to snap up a Peruvian ?

Hold your horses, chap. I thought Niang was half decent after one game, then the wimpy, powderpuff, thundercunt started falling over and pretending he was dead

Very true, but Richie does seem to have a lot going for him - pace, quick feet, willingness to track back and win the ball (never one of Niang's plus points), strength and decent aerial ability. More reminiscent of John Barnes than anyone I've seen here since.

Still, as you rightly say, time will tell whether first impressions are well-founded.

Agree with this but as Unhappy Bunny stated, the most impressive thing about his debut for me was his willingness to track back, make tackles, and put his head in where he could get hurt.

whilst he was down he kept trying to get back up and the physios were holding him down whilst they did their checks, the signs are good, he looks very keen to play and work hard for his place, something Niang never did.

this combined with his obvious talent is a good recipe.

however it is only his first appearance, lets hope it continues, he should get a run now with Pereyra looking likely to be out for a few weeks I would imagine, then hopefully Pereyra slots in at 10.

this guy can only get better with games.

My missus is Peruvian so we go over there every few years or so. My random Watford spot was during the 2006/07 season I was over there in the January so it was transfer window time, I was in Nasca in southern Peru (famous for the Nasca Lines) in the town centre on a newsstand I saw a sports paper with "Watford" as part of the main headline, apparently we were looking to sign some Peruvian U21 player at the time. I've since lost the newspaper.

I agree with this but there are three little words that mean I will hold my excitement in check until he's had a few games:

    Juan Carlos Paredes.

    I rest my case.
