Mate, I'm sure plenty of your posts go unnoticed by me. And I'm sure there has been some that I've agreed with in the past. But it's a forum so people exchange views that oppose each other from time to time. As long as it's constructive and not personal, surely that's the point?

Fair enough, you have said that your knowledge of Portuguese football is what you base your opinion on. What I find puzzling about that is that he made 3 starts last season? And 4 the season before that? So surely you are basing the opinion mainly on his achievements before that?

We may sign him - although I'm not sure given the signals he's giving off by all accounts - but as previous people have stated, I can't understand the overboard enthusiasm and all the 'wow's' as he has played very little football recently.

 

I think Amrabat is a **** because he's sh!t... nothing wrong with that.

 

Amrabat linked up really well with Pereyra, so much so that every left back against him got replaced through exasperation. Monreal and Clucas were having nightmares of Nordin for weeks. Then both got crocked...and Amrabat had a nightmare of his own.
Admittedly that could say more about Pereyra than anything else... God I hope he is alright!

I don't remember reading that. In fairness when Amrabat was playing well in the first half the season Okaka wasn't playing but he did set up a goal against Everton I think, because the centre forward made a move. Amrabat was poor when he came back but show me more than one or two who wasn't.

 

I think there's an important distinction between being **** and being a ****.

All three really. They passed in triangles, particularly away at West Ham. Then we never really replicated that style of play which was thoroughly confusing.

Haha I'm not saying Amrabat is good enough to stay here, just saying he did alright in the first 10 games or so.

I don't tend to get involved in these slanging matches ... but is that really acceptable?

 

It's alright. A) I am Icelandic B) I can't actually grow a beard, it's patchier than my Amrabat argument and C) the name translates as "A good start" which is pretty much Watford last season in a nutshell.

Just read a Tweet from a Portuguese journalist who seems to think Carrillo has his visa and will travel tomorrow, to meet Benfica or Watford?

 

Pretty sure Benfica are doing some sort of training camp or mini tour in England, so probably them.

 

They are at St Georges park yes hence why I said Benfica or us.
But if he can get the visa and he's in the country anyway surely make him number one option especially with all the Berghuis rumours growing
