And the new Manager will be?

100%, I still have a tingling about Rafa , in fact I have just stuck a £5 on it (big spender)

I don’t believe Gino would have sacked QSF without a plan (although he did look proper pissed off in the crowd on Saturday)

If it was one of the same old crap, they will take any job offered and wouldn’t get the Arsenal job so wouldn’t be delaying (unless waiting for Everton - but could see Eddie getting that)

don’t think we will poach anybody who is 1/2 way through the season, so will be looking at somebody out of work or /managing in China (any other leagues finish this time of year ?). Apart from poch who is out of work who is any good ?

Rafa is in the odds for all three games , doesn’t mind a project, might be up for a short term contract to get back to the uk which he has been clear is his objective

I think on balance I’m expecting Allardyce as player manager. He’s not much older than the current back 4/5 and should fit right in. The clincher is that Gino would be happy as it would save him buying any new defenders. We could buy a couple more wingers.
    BFS it is.

He is horrendously crafty being that nowhere in that whole statement has he said ’Rest easy Leicester fans, I am 100% staying.’

How hard is it to say ‘there’s been no approach, but even if there was, I would respectfully decline the chance as I’m staying here.’

No it wasn't. At least admit you misread his intent, now he's explained it and climb down.

Actually he has. Easy to get it wrong here. I'm probably defending him because I'm a fair, honest and (at least try to be) objective broker. Whether hb1 will welcome this support remains to be seen.

Not possible. How can I apologise? People might get the wrong idea about me and think I’m nice.

Hard to imagine that Gerri D, Bobby P or Abby D are insisting on a good, decent Englishman as our next manager.

For 'our players', I think we can assume they mean one particular loudmouth plumper player who is no stranger to the press.

I can almost hear his Brummy twang now - "Y'shud give someone English a gooooo"

Always worth remembering the bookies want you to lose; so betting on anyone who hasn't a chance is just fine with them. Nixon is quite likely nearer the mark and (perish the thought) the bookies might just be reluctant to promote a name they know might be in the running. Besides, Gino has not used a British coach yet (except McKinley!). I think Southern European coaches are probably cheaper to employ, compared to British.

A bit like Silva at Hull, I suppose.

I’m not convinced they are cheaper - but I would be fairly certain that foreign managers are more willing to work short term deals as opposed to homegrown managers.

Mullins given a two year contract after winning 8 of our next 10 games and drawing the other two.

Poached by West Ham in the summer.

Could be. Particularly if they are regarded as mere coaches, rather than all-in managers.

Well if the Atlantic is correct, bollix to Roger Schmidt and Marcelino, didn't want them at my club anyway.

Well his options in Germany are possibly Werder Bremen, Cologne or Hertha Berlin - those titans of German football, so he needs to start looking at flights for China again as the Dortmund job may become available in the summer but I doubt they'd be interested.

Whole thing sounds like yet another disaster.

"Imminent" to me suggested we thought we had our man and it fell through, and it now looks like we're being told to do one from anyone and everyone who looks even semi-competent.

Looks like it's going to be the most underwhelming appointment imaginable.

If true, I just continue to be baffled at the process. Ziganda did an absolutely terrible job at Bilbao. Has done nothing to warrant being interviewed. The fact he can get an interview and we haven’t spoken to Allardyce is ridiculous.

If someone has to be convinced to take the job, then better to go with Mullins or being Allardyce in.

I am praying it is Benitez even though I think it is unlikely. I think it would have to be a manager of that sort of calibre to keep the team up and if we went down I would be very confident that he would bring us back up in the 1st season. Yes he would be expensive but I would be happy if it meant we chop into out January or Summer transfer window money to get a top quality coach/manager in.

    I've found the perfect candidate.

He's out of work, he knows the Premier League extremely well, he's used to coaching smaller clubs, he managed to get to a major cup final last season. Sounds absolutely perfect.
