I wouldn't mind us paying that for him but not paying that and they get two quality players. At that point I would rather us just get Widmer and Meret and give them Okaka in return haha.

It won't work like that. Meret on his own has been valued at 20 to 22m Widmer around 9m. I'm sure I read that Udi were interested in one of Napoli's forwards. Not Zapata. If Pozzo can pull this off, I expect us funding a few loans towards Udi or Okaka. Maybe even Valon B heading that way.

That's exactly my point. I mean Allan is good but €50mil good, I don't think so. Even if they get that striker, he's not worth more than €10mil, so that still makes that a €40mil deal for Allan which is ridiculous.

We can find something much better for that valued amount for both clubs.

I interpreted the deal differently to this. I see the deals as all being separate, but relying on each other in order to go through rather than all being the same transaction. So instead of Allan costing the equivelant of his fee (18) + the other players fees (30ish), Napoli will part with roughly 30mil to Udinese while Watford pay 18mil to Napoli.

So Allan will cost just the 18mil rather than 40mil

 

Or we pay Udinese, and Gino moves £18m of profit out of the UK and beyond the reaches of UK tax man

 

Our tax rates are lower than Italy so better to leave the profits here

If this is really the transfer strategy I will luv it. Any of the Udinese keepers would be great backup if we miss out on Neto. Apart from cancelling Heaton's transfer to us when we were first taken over, the Pozzos have got it right and given us very good keepers with something to prove in Almunia and Gomes. If we are still pressing home with either Allan or Lemina we can't say we lack ambition. Hard to see us keeping Zuniga anyway unless we have a remaining spot due to his versatility. From what I could translate they wrote things like "unreal signing for Watford." "Will do well in the Prem" and "always thought he would leave."

In all honestly if this is true, they really don't seem too fussed about him leaving, even though they rate him.

I tried to refind the tweets but I couldn't. However on twitter today there appears to be some Italian journalists saying that Napoli have rejected arsenals bid for Jorginho. Arsenal fans are claiming it's because Allan is on his way to us. Not sure how they put that together but hopefully it is true. Also on this Napoli forum, there appears to be talk of Karnezis or Neto joining them
