After recent debate on how our alliances lie with the mighty Orn's and how some still stay loyal after years away from Watford living somewhere else. I was wondering how many have followed Watford to every ground in the top 4 divs. I've done about 48 not all following Watford and some clubs have moved grounds.

I'm a day-tripper by comparison. I think I've done 13 or 14 but only 1 currently below the championship. I've 'followed' Bath City and Dundee United away to 18 or 20 in that time though.

I counted clubs I've visited supporting Watford rather than grounds. There are a few teams we've played where I've been to the old and new grounds, and one where I've seen us play at 3 different places.

In total I've seen us play at somewhere between 65 and 70 away clubs covering slightly more grounds.

Also I can think of 3 different grounds where I've seen us play three different teams at each.

41 of the current Prem & FL clubs following the Horns.. and 49 for all games including non Watford. Several of those clubs play at new grounds mind & ive double visited a few. I also have 4 further away visits with Watford for clubs now in the National League.

There's no doubt heaps of our followers who would have been to 70/80 odd current grounds following the team but no one would have done them all, as we have never played at Acrrington, Crawley, Fleetwood, Forest Green, or Morecambe.

    Wembley: Everton, Bolton & Palace
Villa Park: Plymouth, Aston Villa & Southampton
Selhurst Park: Charlton, Palace & Wimbledon

Charlton is the club that I've seen at 3 different away grounds: Selhurst Park, Upton Park and The Valley.

Showing your age mate. I guessed Wembley and Selhurst park. Forgot about those 2 semi finals at villa park, as I was to young for Plymouth and was in Cyprus for the Southampton match.

It's a pathetically blokey achievement to visit a certain number of football grounds.

It's not scaling Everest or running the marathon, it simply demonstrates that you have an abundance of time and a lack of other commitments

I did most of my grounds when I was a teenager and early adulthood. I more or less stopped not long after I first had a mortgage. Since 2004 I've been to 4 Watford matches away from Vicarage Road.

I'm not asking for a medal moog, I'm sure that plenty of others have been to a lot more. If you have no interest in the topic sod off and post in another thread.

True. I yearn for the freedom to do dull, pointless, whole day excursions to the ****** corners of the country, to view tedious, low quality football in terrible stadia, in dismal weather and endure arduous traffic getting home.

But my wife makes me do interesting things instead. :doom:

Do you also have a 'bucket list' which includes hiring Harleys and riding them down route 66? I find that 92 clubbers are prone to such trite ambition.

Done both buddy, going to watch Watford at every ground possible is a far greater achievement. Beginning to doubt your advice on smoking now.

I didn't do both obviously, heck how could I, as a smoker.

    No.

I would like to do a Ghost Walk around York though.

Has your wife updated your Bucket List for you recently?

Walked around the wall, that in itself is great, but even better if you read the book which for the life of me I can't remember now.

Disappointed to wait and no picture. The Ikea one was good and hard to top though.

Nepal away on a Tuesday evening?

I have a blokey obsession with football grounds & i have always enjoyed the excitement of visiting new ones. But ive met a few Groundhoppers over the years and couldnt quite join in their level of enthusiasm/obsession. Ive even met some that didnt follow any particular club and some that have done over a thousand grounds (the benchmark for the Uber-hopper)

Ive loved my time visiting different grounds though.. and not just the grounds but also seeing different places i otherwise wouldnt have seen and meeting different people i otherwise wouldnt have met.

I've just checked that I've watched Watford at 89 different grounds, a good number of which no longer exist. This is all just through 'natural' supporting, never groundhopping, although I benefitted from the years when we regularly moved between divisions. I reckon to go to 30 odd games a season, 8-10 of which are away. For the record I now miss the trips to 'town' teams, e.g. Oxford, Swindon, Portsmouth etc., rather than the big city teams we visit now.

Should be a separate thread for Ikea drones:

What countries have you streamed football from?

    Or

How many armchairs have you watched football from?
