    Hi all,

    Gashead here in peace.

We've had your young striker Alex Jakubiak on loan since the summer. Under previous manager Darrell Clarke he wasn't given a chance. DC didn't like playing loanees unless he had to. However, since his departure he has played every game. I have been really impressed with him. Strong, sharp, eye for goal. Just wondered if you had an opinion on him and what chance we would have of getting him permanently? Do you know what sort of wages someone like that would be on (I would be surprised if we would pay more than £3k per week). I doubt we would be able to sign him tbh as we are not big spenders but would love him here.

Good luck for the season. Hows Will Hughes getting on? Always rated him. Andre Gray too.

Well we could give you Andre Gray too - ball control is probably about League One level !

Hughes had done well but played out of position a bit which doesn't suit him .

As for young Alex - good to see the lad getting a chance and performing .

Probably has one or two years left on his contract so might be available for a small fee.

Cannot imaging he is on that much but guess as you say it might be higher than the average league One wage .

Well done on getting one over Karl "never my fault " Robinson at the weekend .

No doubt he blamed everyone and anytime for their defeat !

Hi mate, I've had a word with the club and they say you can have him for £20. If you PM me your full name, address, bank account details and sort code, I'll sort this out for you ready for your next game.

I saw him once, in the FA Youth Cup when he was 18. Looked a complete centre forward and I'm surprised his career hasn't gone better. Hope you can help him fulfil his early promise

18 months left on his contract so any fee will be pretty low I'd have thought.

It was interesting to read Graham Coughlan likening him to former Hornet Britt Assombalonga in terms of style & personality. If he has a good second half of the season with you I'd imagine we'd try to get him to sign a new contract to bump up any potential fee.

I'd be surprised to see him feature here but you never know. He did play a couple of pre-season games for us without scoring and we've a couple of forwards in the Development Squad who seem to be highly rated, Cassidy & Folivi, as they're two of very few who play every game at that level.

    Good luck for 2019.

If you take him, the deal includes Andre Gray and Stefano Okaka and we get first-pick of any CB you have who can kick a ball.

    Non-negotiable.

Well Duxbury has no interest in signing a striker apparently so feel free to have him. Meanwhile we’re stuck with Gray, Okaka, Success and Deeney.

Only one of them is about Premiership quality at the moment in the scoring department.

Best of luck to you for the second half of the season.

  11. I've always likes Jakubiak, he's been overlooked during his career but has the makings of a really good - probably championship - striker. Quick, strong, tough, can finish, I'd like to see him get a permanent move to get his career going. He will end up way better than Andre Gray.

Won't make it with us though, not with the likes of Chuco Hernandez coming through.

If I were in charge at Brizzle Rovers I'd take a loan out, buy him, pay him, play him, then make a bundle of cash by selling him to a Derby or a Forest or a Weeds when they come calling.

That's what I'd like us to do. Unfortunately, we are not ambitious enough to take that sort of gamble. I would love to see it but can't see it happening. Let's see how he gets on today. 15/2 is great value on him to score the first goal. There's also a player called Tareiq Holmes-Dennis who is 55/1 to score first with betvictor, but the reason for that is they probably think he is a lb but he has been playing left wing.
