According to "Nigeria's Best Sports Daily" (no idea if this claim can be backed up), he's turned down an 80,000 euro/week deal to play for Lokomotiv Moscow as he's looking forward to pre-season training with us.

It will be nice to have an addition that really wants to play for this club.

 

Article says €80,000 euros per month. If you look at that as €20,000 per week, that's only about £17,500 Pw. I'm sure he knows if he has a good season or 2 with us he'll be earning much more than that

You joke, but it wouldn't surprise me if they gave him a game if only to let him get a work permit so he can play in the PL and develop. Win win.

Nigeria plays African Nations Championship games in August, but these squads are limited to players who are playing in home countries, so Agbo would be ineligible.

Late August, 28th, Nigeria have world cup qualifications. Would make Agbo eligible just before the window closes. Cutting it tight.

If this were the case. He would have his passport by and be training with the team. So must be a tad more complicated.

He's in the squad, he's just not made his debut. He started regularly for Granda and played well.

By your logic we should get rid of Success, he struggles to get in the team.

The WO article is written from a viewpoint that this is a permanent deal. Saying we've 'cashed in' due to the remote chances of him getting a work permit in the near future.

 

So the strategy of calling him Henry to fool the work permit people didn't work fml

 

Some reports say loan, some say perm. The truth is out there...
