Joined Belgian side KAS Eupen on loan for the season.
cue uproar from the masses
Has to make this loan a success after years of unproductive moves.
Why not a championship club? Eupen are the smallest club in a poor league.
Score a wonder goal and you are rewarded with a year spent at the shyttest team in the dullest country in europe.
The world's yoof will flock to Watford FC.
I don't understand this move at all unless there is a recall option in Jan.
Gobsmacked. I can only think that he's a real troublemaker and only played against Cov so Eupen could see him in action
I understand it - on the basis that we increasingly sideline youth at the club. And Penaranda’s choice will have been stark - go out and play regularly there. Or stay and get largely ignored here.
Ken Sema gets a year and chance after chance after chance. Is absolute *****.
A far far more talented player gets 3 games.
I don't trust any of the mugs down there to know talent if it slapped them in the face.
Even Lukebakio went to the Bundesliga. Why couldn’t we find a better club than the team that finished 15th in Belgium last season? And play in front of a ground smaller than the kennel every week...
Even if he lights up that league and scores 30 - we all know it’s unlikely he’ll be given a chance here afterwards.
I just really struggle to understand the way we attempt to construct a squad a lot of the time.
I prefer watching extremely limited 30 year old has-beens fail to make 5-yard passes and miss sitters
On the face of it's simple to understand. He's not getting any game time here and won't get picked ahead of GD, Sarr, Welbeck, Gray, Deeney. He also failed to get in the team at Malaga and Udinese.
The more complicated bit is why. There must be a reason that none of these teams/managers picked him. You get the impression he is a bit of a luxury player who doesn't contribute too much to the team as a whole. His goal midweek was brilliant albeit against a 3rd tier side.
Why Belgium, not the champ ? Maybe no-one was interested ? Maybe they decided he's not cut out for the workrate required in english football ?
I'm not bothered at all about this move, certainly far more bothered about the team formation on saturday and why GD, Sarr & Welbeck didn't play a major part when pace on the break seemed so important.
Doesn’t fit a 442, surest sign Gracia is going nowhere.
I'm not sure he fits any system TBF which is part of his issue. He's not a striker, a winger, or a number 10 as he doesn't seem to pass. He looks a luxury player to me, and not good enough to be picked as a luxury player....
He's not very good and is now too old to qualify as U21 for the purposes of the 25 man PL squad we have to submit shortly.
Maybe the idea is that by putting him in a crap league, he scores a few and raises the interest of a few clubs, before Gino pulls the rest of the wool over their eyes and flogs him for £8m.
Makes sense to get him out on loan for the season.
Excellent move by the club.
He’s so talented yet only a team that finished 15th in the Belgium League wanted him.
A player who ruptured his hamstring playing for Venezuela back in June (or July) was never catching up on his fitness by getting the odd sub appearance here. A slower league is just what he needs to get game time at this stage of his career.
I think it’s pretty clear that it’s been decided he has no future at Watford, for whatever reason. Expect him to leave permanently next summer.
Probably be injured soon or hardly play ..
What’s also bizarre about the ‘why’ - is that Penaranda has always had that profile. Mercurial talent who is better in match situations than in training. Watford can’t really have been p1ssed off at what they got when he arrived as that’s seemingly just his character.
I don’t think the owner has ever employed a head coach and given him the brief of ‘integrating the talented youngsters’.
The evidence is all there in black & white. He is another one of these hyped up unicorns.

Spot on. He needs to be given a chance to make an impact on our first 11 now. Sending him out on loan is a total disaster.
Serious question. What's it supposed to mean when you write like that?
They have scouts know how to spot the different between reality and the YouTube videos that players agents post.
Due to his ongoing injury problems, Penaranda is now only permitted to play football within a plastic bubble.
KAS Zorbing in the Belgium League are the perfect team for his situation in this moment.

You've got to break the code. CB is being held against his will. That message contains the co-ordinates for the SAS rescue mission. Near Leamington Spa I think.
Its emphasising how stupid the comment is. I.e. CB is taking the piss out of other fans saying it.

At least you own it better than the others.
Laughable. This club is a mess.
Sorry - that's the meme that that type of writing is associated with. I thought you might enjoy it.
