Is the linesman blind ? You cannot place the ball like that/
Offside goal from a long free kick. Very, very fortunate for us.
Excellent - he does like to get a goal doesn’t he?
Probably be better than Gray in the first team .
Cukur reminds me of a less experienced and refined Deeney. Does a lot of defensive work and tries to link the team up front winning headers. Have to say I'm really liking what I see at least in what he tries to do. Nowhere near ready for the first team but think in 2-3 years he could be close.
Is... is it common for this much cramp at this level?
FT. Very hard fought win.
I think a lot of it will be emotional energy expanded.
Playing at a league ground, big competition.
Well done boys!
Was in and out of this, missed all the goals though! Good comeback from the lads!
We are missing a few players but some of those that remain need to be taught composure on the ball and what to do in certain situations. This apparently will be the first of more Academy games to be streamed on the clubs Youtube channel. Two thousand seven hundred watching. SBLE needs to demand and drop for the ball all the time. Lawal was impressive. Did step on the ball once and lost his runner for the first though. Cukur has potential.
Please avoid watching tomorrow......
Well we got through.
Time for them to have a well earned rest.
They are kids PJ. Only to be expected. I would be concerned if they were not experiencing cramp as they might be on something.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the whole 90+ minutes, goals will be flying!
They don’t seem very happy with the ref !
You could hear the Lincoln bench expressing their displeasure about the lack of a penalty.
Chaucer like language!
I couldn't tell what the penalty was for, and neither could our comms tbf!
Just watched highlights and he could've been sent off after about 2 seconds, the opposition held him from the kick off and looked like he swung his forearm at him!
Quite like his post match interview, confident without straying too far into arrogance.
I hope that our club's scouts will keep an eye on the progress of Freddie Draper, although I suspect that some of the big clubs will already have noticed him. Players, who stand out at U-18 level, do not always succeed at senior level, but Draper looks a real prospect. He is a first year scholar in Lincoln's Youth Team’s scholarship scheme and will spend the next two years combining professional training with Lincoln City while studying for a BTEC Level 3 in Sport.
I think that he is still only 16 years old, but he seems to be an instinctive finisher and he has already sat on the bench for some of Lincoln's first team games. Both of his goals (in the F.A. Youth Cup against Watford) were very well struck, although I doubt that he would have been given so much space at senior level. He has been averaging approximately a goal per game for Lincoln's U-18 team over the season.
He has been prolific. Came from Derby who always seem to produce players in recent seasons. These are the sort of players we do need to keep an eye on. I'm sure Omer Riza would have been suitably impressed. Sam Dalby has returned from Stockport County having played little and not scored a goal or really impressed any County fans. They have signed Paddy Madden an experienced striker from Fleetwood Town to replace him.
George Langston still out with an injury and Wealdstone were thumped again.
Dalby has joined Woking on loan.
Do we know if there are any U23 or friendly matches for this week?
A chance for Success and Kabasele to regain match fitness.
Would make sense.
Think the Under 23s played on Monday .
QPR on Friday at the training ground it looks like. Good opportunity for some players to get minutes.
Was that the Wigan win, where Wise scored?
He looks very much like his dad.
Yes it was.
Wise Jnr has been with us a while.
Wonder if he will make it?
A Wise man would say "yes".
Probably play for Morecambe.
You've missed your vocation as a headline writer IBB. @ The Recluse does not have high hopes for him.
Someone told me yesterday I was wasted as a tennis coach as I bombarded the Tiny Toes children with inane puns that flew over their heads like feral pigeons!
Always difficult following a famous parent, especially in the same sport.
Kabasele getting a game for the under 23s today .
Good news. I'd like to see him paired with Sieralta. We all know he has his brain fart moments but I think he is better than Troost-Ekong and Cathcart overall.
What time is the kick off?
Half time - 1-0 down.
It is QPR - bit of a bogey team this season,
Kane Crichlow with a neat instinctive tap in after a howler from the Canadian keeper although ultimately it made little difference.
