It's not a SportWitness story though, they've just translated the original Mundo Deportivo story so that adds a bit more credence. Nice line in the original article about Javi Gracia staying being a plus point for Deulofeu. It also suggests that Barcelona aren't expecting the €20 million release clause to be activated and will settle for something around €15 million.
With just a year left on his contract think they might be being a tadge optimistic hoping to make a vast profit on him.
WO are now reporting this too. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...news/16243976.Hornets_set_for_Deulofeu_talks/
Would be a good signing. He will have off games, but when he is on his game he will create chances. When we were doing well at the start of last season we had pace on the counter attack, and think we need that again next year.
Gerard Deulofeu has told Javi Gracia that he wants to stay at Watford and Watford will make an offer in the coming days. Barca expected to let him go for less than €15m. Yippee.....I'm delighted about this. Would be a fantastic signing. http://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20180523/443770471755/barca-deulofeu-watford.html
http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-plan-e9-10m-offer-selling-club-plan-mess/ Looks like this is going to be dragged out all summer.
Let's hope not. Milan are in trouble so can't see them making an offer. No idea who else are interested in him. But we have a good chance as any especially as he knows our setup. Would like to see him play off the forward because he is not the greatest at tracking back. But then as the great GT used to say what's the point of a forward of his quality defending.
https://www.sport-english.com/en/am...d-next-week-6840996?__twitter_impression=true This sounds more promising. Meeting next week to sort out the details of the transfer and Deulofeu has made it clear to Barca that he wants to return here.
Yes he said that of David Ginola when he was at Villa. GT was commentator of said match not the manager.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...-be-ready-for-start-of-premier-league-season/ Deulofeu is set to be fit for the game against Brighton. Two times that twitter ITK has been shown to be a bullshitter now. Not sure why people keep believing him.
Not sure why people would believe the Observer as well to be fair. Their strike rate for accuracy is terrible and most of their stories are recycled from Twitter.
Depends who the article is written by. Anthony Matthews is usually spot on. He just doesn't write a lot these days as he's the group sports editor now I think.
Just making an early suggestion for when this chap returns. I would love to hear the falsettos in the 1881 adapt Sherry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Gerry, Gerry baby Gerry, Gerry Baby Ge-e-e-e-e-e-ry baby Ge-e-rry, can you come out tonight
No point wearing Holebas trousers for that then! You will need to hire Roger Taylor, the drummer not the Yorkshire tennis player.
Not a bad idea at all, but I would change the lyrics "Can you come out tonight." Cant think of anything very good at the moment, so may come back to this. best off top of my head, Ge-e-rry, can you score us a goal."
kV, is that how you recommend we pronounce GD’s name or is it a genuine misspelling? Actually, it is exactly how it should be pronounced & is an improvement on the original spelling.
I don’t object to the foreign players but it does lead to challenges with the spelling. It’s like 1969 all over again. Walker, Welbourne, Williams. Is there an ‘e’ on Welbourne? You sure?
I just don’t know anymore. I’ve heard that some grammeristas consider his name incorrect anyway and that it should be Deluless. What do I know?
That was the first part of my indoctrination by my brothers. Tom Walley used to live up the road too!
In those days, flouncers departed for the Racing Post & it was all done by posting letters to each other. Gifs had to be done using flip books. Much more labour intensive. A notable poster was Miserable Young Git. Wonder what happened to him?
It was like a catechism. I can name that Furphy team straight off but would struggle with Walter’s lot. Also the Revie Leeds team.
I'd caution against removing any items of clothing RD,it's wetter than a haddock's bathing costume in WGC.
