He's better at finding space and finishing than our multi-million pound forwards. Hope he's fit enough to go straight into the starting XI.
Currently looking at holidays to Madagascar. " Full Day visit of Tsimanampetsotse National Park to see Greater and Lesser Flamming Goes" Well I'll be flamming annoyed if the flamming goes aren't there when i get there !
He's always been ****. Just got a bit lucky in a few games. Needs to go in the summer with Deeney. #ITKJimPost
He's probably just seen the Vitas Gerulaitis tribute who plays at the tennis club, enough to upset man and beast!
Derby fans on suicide watch. Amazing they've got such a long thread on an ex player. Must be gutting for them to see him at little old Watford https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/27665-will-hughes-watch/?page=56
He’s made a match winning contribution almost every appearance so far and is able to play brilliantly in tight spaces . If he can keep that up consistently he will be one hell of a player for us .
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...er-wonderkid-who-is-now-blossoming-at-watford Most tackles in the league so far is surprising.
Read that on that Football 365 link posted here yesterday. Surprising. Maybe he’s not out of position after all!
That is a surprise. Perhaps it includes both successful and unsuccessful tackles? In which case it would be less surprising.
It does. He's made 15, with 7 being successful. Capoue has made 7/10 tackles and Doucoure has made 2/4 (which is pretty poor)
So it actually rather ties in with what I suspected, which is that Hughes fouls a lot - which isn't that great.
True, in which case the statistics need even more clarity. However I do get the impression that Hughes does foul a lot.
The definition of a tackle on these stats seems to be "Dispossessing an opponent, whether the tackling player comes away with the ball or not". Whether or not the tackler comes away with the ball, it's still useful to dispossess the opposition. If you tackle someone and it goes straight into touch, that's still worthwhile...
Definitely needs some time out of the side. He is a very tidy, clever footballer and he is likely only going to get better, but he all too often offers little to nothing or any real substance when being played in a wide right position, and was an absolute passenger on Saturday. Needs to play centrally or not at all.
He was clattered several times on Saturday and was struggling with an injury from early on. Could have been subbed earlier, but probably tried to play through the pain. Can’t believe he did not get some free kicks given for him for some of the challenges. You are right though, we do not seem to of seen the best from him since he has been starting wide on the right.
