Come on guys and girls, stop lurking and reading come and join us. There's over 120 of you out there today its always good to hear views of the new members, most of us are friendly, just don't feed the Bear and mind the Moog ! new members means new opinions and new debate which helps keep this site alive ADMIN - can we have a day where lurkers can post as "guest" to give newbiees a chance to come and play ?
OK how about opening a sub section in General Watford for a day. Once some get over the fear of posting for the first time they may feel more comfortable
WAS, it's all been tried before. I reckon it must have already been done twice this year and most of the 'guest' posts were from people already registered having a laugh or lurkers who just wanted to be abusive to someone. It's not difficult to register or post so if someone hasn't yet we have to assume they have their reasons.
Lurking is an art , it requires a tremendous amount of self discipline. Beware of the lurker they have more power than you think . :badge:
I'd say 15% of all lurkers are bots. Just taken a look at the lurkers now and it's about 10% currently.
I quite like lurking on occasions. In fact I often 'lurk' as a guest and only sign in when I feel like posting (i.e now) or something different like the Shoutbox is in operation.
Hello from a newbie from Arizona! I wasn't sure if you have a get up front of the group and introduce yourself you damn newbie thread so I figured I would say hello to everyone here unless told otherwise!:whoosh::whoosh: My name is Sean by the way. Grew up in Michigan but have lived in Arizona since late 1995. Nice to meet everyone! I am very early learning more about the Hornets having started at the beginning of this season. I do enjoy the attacking style football. :sign15:
Welcome Why are you supporting Watford out of interest? Seems an abstract choice of club! The second-poorest club in the second tier of English football who were odds on to be relegated!
Hi Arizona, we have another Hornet/Hammers/ LA Galaxy fan living in Arizona called Chris Whittmore, he works for the U.S. boarder patrol. He was over here a few months back and went to a couple of games with me and my son while he was here. He was a Hammers fan when he came over, but we have shown him the light and he went back to the states with split loyalties. I'm not sure if he comes on this site, but Fitz, another U.S. LA based Hornet fan does, I'm sure you will have seen his posts, there are other U.S. Hornets on here, if you send Fitz a message and I'm sure he will hook you up with them. Anyway welcome to the forum and please stay now you have arrived
Welcome ArizonaHornet to the forum  Do you know any of the other americans we have on this site?
Welcome for the very nice welcome! I don't know those other Americans on the forum but it is cool to know I am not alone. It is cool that you are cool with the Yanks support of the club as I get that feeling it isn't always the case with various clubs over there. I have followed football since around 1980 when I was ten and starting to play this wonderful sport. I am so glad with the various cable tv channels I can watch so much of it now. I just never found any club that chose me that were currently up in the Premier League. I do say that the Championship as a whole fascinates me. It doesn't ever seem to be a set group of clubs always challenging for the top and eventual promotion. As I said in my first post, I do like that Watford try to play attacking football. Silly question. They are the hornets. Why do they appear to have a moose in the main logo? I have also been trying to research more about Watford the city online. I look forward to getting involved in more of the ongoing conversations here on the forum.:sign15:
Further to that, it's a Hart, a kind of Stag. It's the chosen emblem of the county Hertfordshire. Also used in Watford's Borough Council emblem etc.
Sorry didn't see your post before mine! If you have any questions about the club/town itself, don't be afraid to ask
I finally saw the new members introduce your thread area so I went to create a proper area to say hello but thank you very much to every one for the warm welcome along with letting me know about the female deer explanation. :sign15:
arty2: <----First off, this is the best smiley I have ever seen. :sign15: Second Hello, it is nice to see other Americans part of the group.
Since I have been somewhat of a lurker for some time and since I couldnt find a particular thread to introduce myself I thought I would here. I am a Sunderland and Watford fan from the north east ( Watford was purely choice, wasnt born into it). I have been very interested in Watford for the last 5 years or so and have managed to convert some mates along the way. I have been to quite a few games in the last couple of games and will be at Forest on saturday, very much looking forward to it and very much looking forward to posting on the forum. Thank you
