I know it can be boring but 10 years ago GT's mighty boy thumped those dirty traveller folks from down the road 4-0. What a day Kennedy 2, Jonno and Dai Thomas. Many a smile, what celebrations afterwards.
When it was 4-0 at halftime I was thinking we were going to do another "Sunderland". I'm sure GT told them to ease off 2nd half
i was only 8 when we won 4-0 but I can still remember my dad going mental when he heard it all on the radio
Ronny went down, blatant pen, but ref didn't give it as possible riot. The Scummer ran on the pitch, thinking he was going to attack GT but went for their bench instead. All fun
one of the best days ever being very young at time just made it better, don;t think ill ever see anyhting like that again
When Ronnie was bought down it was about 2 mins before half time, in front of their fans, a definate pen and a sending off. If they had gone in 5 down and down to 10 men then there would have been a riot. Fighting amoungst themselves in the main stand, police horses onthe field at half time And yes GT did tell them to see out the game in the 2nd half. Oh what fun we had
My uncle was over from Cyprus and he and my dad got tickets in the director's box. First goal they couldn't help leaping to their feet in delight, prompting a volley of missiles from the surrounding scum. Needless to say they silently celebrated the remaining scores, leaving the scum to direct their wrath against each other.
