Read that Lazio and teams in Turkey are sniffing around but the press in Argentina reckon he'd agreed with an English club. Just have wait and see I suppose.

 

Refusing to sign until he knows Fletch is signing too. Scared that we are just using Fletch as a name to lure him in.

 

Today I've seen he's rejected offers from Europe and wants to sign for Sao Paulo and that River Plate have made him a good offer to stay.

So basically nobody knows and the next month will be full of stories with absolutely no credibility to them whatsoever.

 

He was up for signing, but then he saw @Clive_ofthe_Kremlin’s thread about the dangers lurking in England like stinging nettles and red kites and ripped the prospective deal up on the spot.

 

He's nearly 26, it's now or never for him to move back to Europe really. Personally I wouldn't put all my eggs in his basket. Fletcher and Borre would be a shocking striker recruitment punt even by Pozzbury standards. 1 could come off but what are the odds really? It seems like we're going for them cos they're free rather than cos they're good.

 

Probably still an upgrade on our boy Andre.

Let's be honest, he's going to be one of these random names that pops up during a transfer window, we all watch the videos and do some research on him and then we never hear of him ever again.

 

I haven’t heard we’re in for him, but we’ve got Deeney, Gray, Fletcher, JP10, Cucho, Success, Perica contracted - would think we’d need to get rid of at least 3 before we can bring another in

I reckon we'll spend the whole summer trying to flush the todd we've collected in the striker department over the years. Then in the last few days of the window we'll get an Udinese or a Mogi Bayat player in. Fletch can then take up his rightful position as our first choice striker.

 

Without trying to be a **** - that doesn't mean a lot. I am sure there have been plenty of signings that you didn't have a scooby about or found out very late in the day. It certainly sounds more like talk from his agent than from our side, but then agent talk got Ivic the gig and presumably played a bit part in Louza coming to us so it can mean something.

Surely the club just has to accept Success, Penaranda and Perica are a right off. Neither were able to even help out in the championship, never mind the premier league. I accept that there are wages to cover but even if we can loan them for a % of their wage / sell for peanuts it is better than what they will contribute if they are with us.

I seriously hope they have something lined up for Deeney and Gray, or the Fletcher transfer makes no sense, but then I said the same about Murray and look where we ended up.

 

I’m not saying we’re definitely not in for him, I just don’t think we are for the reasons listed above. If we are then great, but the link first came about from the sun, and they’re not the most reliable when it comes to us

 

Will be announced July 1st and course I don’t hear of everyone we’re in for. Knew about Louza tbf

 

I think it was Nixon who is a bit hit and miss.

Borre is still a possibility, but he's one of several targets. We are happy with the players we've got though, so won't be forced into any moves.
