Always thought he looked like the lead singer of Tenpole Tudor. Were they ever seen in the same room ?

    Man City bound?

Everyone else might as well give up after that!

Yeah, City with an actual striker is a scary prospect!

Yeah I think he’d be worth a punt for us. Could do with a third choice striker and he’d get a genuine crack at the silverware he apparently craves.

I’m assuming he left last time because you forgot to feed him?

In THAT game didn't they have Vardy and Kane on the bench with Nugent starting - admittedly he did score as usual against us.

I was just going to post that. Absolutely crackers, especially considering how many other players on the pitch that day were so much better than them at the time. Chris Wood, Matej Vydra, David Nugent and the man himself Troy Deeney. Many a Leicester fan would have swapped Deeney for Vardy even after the great escape season.

I was surprised to find out that Harry Kane is apparently a really friendly and down to earth bloke coming from someone I know who has done a little bit of media work with him.

Oh dear Filbert you've suddenly got very Billy Big Boots, wonder why? You are sounding much more like Mr Integrity himself, so you are.

Taken with the honesty of the group, I’d love to see some kind of breakaway super league so clubs like ours never have to play the riff raft again.

The women love him too. I heard he had 20 illegitimate children.

They are all professional referees working in the Premier League right now. What are the odds? But does explain a lot.

Tell them they can have him now. Dreams ultimately fulfilled. The years of waiting will just make the whole experience even richer.

Woy wetiring, possibly good news for us if they get his replacement wrong.

That's gonna be some overhaul Palace have to do in the summer, they currently have 13 contracted players (including 2 goalkeepers) for next season (these are the players they have left: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/kadernaechstesaison/verein/873), with another 4 contracts set to expire in the summer of 2022. Add a new manager into the mix and that's a hard rebuild they have to do.

If they appoint Lampard, expect half a dozen Chelsea players to pop down the road to join him. Abraham, if they sell Zaha ?

There is talk of Lampard isn’t there, but that is a potential career wrecker if he gets it wrong which is highly possible and it wouldn’t even necessarily be his fault given the circumstances. Dyche has also been mentioned but I don’t see what would be in it for him, it’s not like Palace splash the cash much more than Burnley.

Yeah, Lampard would be a huge gamble with all the new players coming in. Dyche to Palace would be a pretty sideways move for both of them, but you'd expect him to keep them up if a bunch of their new signings are failures which would let them re-assess next summer, but that's not a great long-term plan for either Dyche or Palace!

Mr IBB has been prattling on for months that Lampard is set to take over.
His pal in Monte is ITK apparently .
    I can only say...
So we say "Roy so long"

Lampard is indeed the bookies favourite, it'll be interesting if a bunch of the new signings fail to gel, Palace could then find themselves in a relegation battle - is Lampard a manager that suits a relegation battle? I'd hazard a guess at no!

They need Rooney for a relegation battle

Would be annoying if they took Guehi if Swans don't go up.

I think the ship for Palace selling Zaha for decent money has sailed, and he seems content again there now.

    Nice goal by Cavani.

VAR must have enjoyed it as they missed the fact he might have been offside from the De Gea kick?

Leeds to be a force next season...or do a Sheffield United.

    I would think the former.

It’s interesting, sky showed their stats and they’re top on a number of things this season including miles run. Those are the sorts of things that if second season syndrome kicks in and you relax a bit and drop just 5/10% then you can quickly find yourself doing a Sheffield Utd. Like you I can’t imagine Bielsa would let that happen though.

Yeah Leeds are 8th in the table now, they're already "a force".

If anything I'd rather expect them to stay still or drop a few places next season. The intensity of their general play may not be sustainable without constant squad rejuvenation.

They have too much quality and spending power to do a Sheff Utd though.

Not seen these incidents but apparently Chelsea could have had a penalty and had 2 goals chalked off.

If they don't win they will be going mad!

  30. a19tgg

Both goals fairly chalked off, offside and handball. The thing is he was miles offside and it was a clear handball, yet they still celebrated like mad with both goals when it must’ve been pretty clear neither would count. I’m not sure why they keep doing it to themselves.

Werner should have scored the handball one.
I've no idea how he missed it with his head, unless he knows AG?!
    1 up now.

Yes that is a fair point but apparently the penalty looked clear cut.

Mind you Werner won’t help his reputation by later trying to cheat.

Chelsea winning 2-0. Bo Jo to announce a day of national mourning with everyone’s favourite fairytale club in threat of failing to qualify for the Champions League. A disaster for English football.

EDIT: Hold the press. Bunting on standby. It’s now 2-1.
