Could it be a case that Xisco is encouraged to give Gray a run as soon as possible in the hope he will come good so we can offload him rather be stuck with his wage bill. Of course winning is vital but there are other aspects the club and management have to manage. But at this stage he does look like we're going to be stuck with him
Out of those four players predicted to be rotated, Kiko will be the big loss. Yes gray starting is also up there but he’s got to score soon right ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They're either banking on Blackburn attacking us more, or merely resting Kiko for future games. Kiko will be a loss, but Ngakia is quite possibly the second best RB in the league tbf
Yeah but that’s an age and potential thing. Would I rather have Aarons at our club - certainly? He’s a much better asset. But if Aarons was suddenly parachuted into our squad would I pick him over Femenia to start the game tonight, giving up the connection between Sarr and Femenia, probably not. But it’s close. I don’t entirely disagree although I think he’s upped his game in recent weeks. Left wing is one of our weakest areas - I’d probably take him over Sema. But if picking a combined 11 I’d probably switch Buendia or Sarr over to the left anyway.
Ngakia is pretty good - as good a backup RB as you’ll find anywhere in the league. But there’s a lot of quality in the league at RB: Aarons, Femenia, Roberts all standouts. Dalsgaard and Nyambe also strong players.
Haha second best right back at the club yeah sure, in the league?! Come off it!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He’s promising but I wouldn’t go that far. Certainly happier with him slotting in at rb instead of lb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think he played a weakened team that game, we were just in a complete tailspin and didn't know how to arrest it.
Reading the Blackburn forum, they are predicting a bog of a pitch with persistent rain up there which looks like continuing until at least kick off. A lot of things seems to be stacked against a win tonight, if we get one it will be a bloody good one.
I hope people don't overreact if we lose this.* This fixture is a blatant banana skin. The pitch is a mud bath and it's a miserable week night in the north west. I'd take a point right now. *Unless we play Gray, in which case I'll back calls for Gino and Xisco's public executions.
Was thinking the same. Please can we not have a complete forum meltdown just because we lose on game. It may precede another 3 or 4 winning game run! We never know.
I think we’re all playing playing reverse psychology with ourselves. We should absolutely win this, but are too scared to say it and emotionally hedging by making up all sorts of excuses as to why we won’t.
I think we may be forgetting the Gray effect. If he plays we will not win. Simples - no need to overcomplicate the analysis
You may be right I wasn't sure it was the Yeovil game. Perhaps I was thinking of Bristol City. Either way the sentiment remains,I hope he hasn't underestimated BRFC. I don't know whether it's a good or bad omen but Arthur has just eaten some Dreamies, gone behind the translation chair and vomited. Time will tell...
Sierralta to partner Zimmermann or Gibson, if you like. I like Kiko, who'd be fine but only once Aarons leaves. Vrancic is better at dead ball kicks that anyone we've had for years. Skipp (on loan from Spurs) is as good as Clevs and can last 90 minutes. I'd rather have Idah in reserve than Perica or Gray. I disagree with you on Cantwell, but concede that I forgot JP who might get in to a combined team. But the main thing is the level of understanding between the Norwich players. They know where the others are, and move the ball around quickly. Ours more often than not, take a touch and look around to see what's on, by which time the gaps have been closed, so they pass back to a defender. Then the same again, so the ball goes back to our keeper.
He's more experienced now, and playing in a stronger team. The defence let them down in the Prem, and now it's better.
Two changes. Gosling and Sierralta for Chalobah and Cathcart. The earlier information posted here was only 25% correct then.
Your latter point is really in line with my original point, though. That fluidity surely comes from having a settled team and a settled manager for several years now. We’ve had anything but, yet are 10 points behind them, it’s a lot, but at the same time I don’t think it’s that much considering our manager and player turnover in the same period. This league is crap, at least 80% of teams park the bus yet with Ivic we decided we needed 5 at the back. Then with Munoz we decided we needed to incorporate a non goal scoring forward into the team and leave us outnumbered in midfield every game. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say we could be 10 points better off if we’d started the season playing a system that suited the players we had, and playing our best players irrespective of how much they get paid, which leads me to think we have players that could achieve more than Norwich, all things being equal - which of course they aren’t and probably never will be with our set up.
He ain't better than Aarons or Kiko, so that can't be right. I'd put him halfway up the right back league at this stage, though he's young and should improve.
Shock, the club doesn’t feed line up info 9 hours before kick off to LouOrns with his 3000 followers. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Anyway, the changes arguably make us stronger. Our best centre back in and Gosling for Chalobah pretty similar. COYH! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pragmatic lineup. Excellent. Was expecting (and dreading) wholesale changes. Feel quite confident about this one.
