Whilst Mercedes win they won't want to change much I guess.

Ferrari on the other hand can only improve surely ?

Red Bull in a bit of a pickle then come next year .

This weekend sounds like it might be affected by the weather some what.

There may be some excitement after all. :) Micky Schumacher has made his debut.

    Remember the old Nordschliefe ?

Totally agree with him on this one, both from an environmental viewpoint (although F1 is hardly a great example of environmentalism overall anyway) and from a sentimental viewpoint. Interlagos is a great, classic track. There's already enough artificial, equation designed tracks, the world doesn't need any more. Particularly if it means losing more of the old school circuits!

He was due to but couldn't due to the low fog.

I wonder how much media pressure and expectation there will be on the lad.

Unlike some of the other father son drivers he has a big name to live up to.

Too young to remember the old track fully but heard it was long and pretty brutal!

It's one of the biggest races in the calendar this weekend, the 24 Hrs of Spa. 56 GT 3 cars in 3 categories; Pro, Pro Am and Amature. It's also a round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Endurance Cup.

Speaking of blast from the past F1 wise Murray Walker is 97 today.

Sure many grew up with his commentary over the years.

    Well done Lewis.

Equals the record for race wins.

    Hard on Bottas.

Impressive performances particularly from Ricciardo and Hulkenburg coming from last place to 8th.

    Another record for Lewis Hamilton.

Think he might break the record of world titles next season then quit ?

Hamilton has this 7th title in the bag I think so long as he stays on the track.

Feel a bit for Stroll or Perez if win their first GP but gets over shadowed by Lewis’ record Championship.

How did Grosjean walk away from this fireball and the car breaking into two parts.

    Very lucky!

Link to the crash. It's a miracle hes alive after that, literally climbed out the car in the middle of the flames. The images of him climbing out and stumbling to safety are horrifying. Huge congrats to the medical team for being so brave and quick in helping him get out too.

I thought I'd watched a death when it happened. Incredible work from all those to rescue him.

The halos weren't universally popular when introduced but I think with Grosjean's car seemingly squeezing under the top half of the barrier as the bottom half gave way under vthe impact, the halo did it's job in protecting the head. When I say the car, I mean the front half, as it completely broke away from the rear half.

Hamilton out of the Sakhir GP with Covid - should have an exciting race on our hands!

Bottas will be gutted if he doesn’t win this one or gets beaten by a replacement!

Is someone racing for Mercedes in place of Hamilton this week-end, if so does anyone know who it will be?

Bottas is a decent chap, must be difficult to be in Hamilton's team, but yep hoping Russell gets some points.

Russell justifying his pick over Stoffel VD. Putting a lot of pressure on Bottas

    That is gutting for Russell.

Such bad luck - pit stop mix up then a puncture.

Surely Perez must get a drive next year ?

Probably deserves a win with his form this year.

Would have good odds on Ocon and Stroll being in the top 3.

Mercedes really messed up the pit stop, not even sure why they decided to double stack

Glad Perez won, been a long time coming! I think Albons seat could be in danger.....

Well I think that shows how superior the Merc is. Russell can't get a point in the, admittedly awful, Williams; yet dominates in the Merc, until the pit and puncture dramas.

Pretty much anybody in that field would get a podium most races in that car. Tedious.

Fair point although probably didn’t say much for Bottas that he twice got taken over by his young rookie team mate.

Russell has done well in qualifying in a poor car so maybe he does have the speed anyway and just needed a decent race car.

I think Red Bull can get closer with more luck and a better 2nd driver.

Ferrari are like a fallen giant and most of the other teams look for pay drivers to fund them rather than true quality at times.
