It stands for Venlose Voetbal Vereniging. This makes the club's name "Venlo Football Association Venlo", which is a bit Venlo heavy.
I da da don't think so! I would like to send my apologies to the many people who have indeed had a stutter while at the same time naming a football club, i.e. Tonyrefail Welfare the well known and respected Welsh club!, not forgetting Forfar Athletic from Scotland!
Karl Robinson doesn't sound too happy (is he ever!) https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...loan/?action=success#comments-feedback-anchor
Not even good enough for Oxford At this rate even at £100k a year loan fee the bloke will be 61 before we get our money back. Lets hope he hits a purple patch and scores 25+ this season, there is a chance we will get £25.48 from someone like Bristol Rovers, Forest Green or Ayr
He’s going to score 30+ the year before his contract is up, and walk away on a free to somebody like Villa. Consistent goal scoring over the next few years in both the Prem and Champ see our hero join Bournemouth in a bumper 30 million deal. In the 24-25 season, he scores the goal the seals our relegation and soaks up the boos from the Rookery with a delighted smirk. The forum curses Gino for failing to hand out a renewed deal.
Met Sinclair briefly when I had a tour round VVV Venlo's ground today. I can report that he has a decent handshake, was very polite and well spoken and was knocking about with Lee Cattermole (which might toughen him up). Said it was going well over in Holland and tried to laugh off Watford being in the **** when my wife mentioned that. Was going to watch VVV again v Heracles Almelo last Saturday, but the bloody Dutch FA put their game back to the Friday for TV, so missed it as we didn't get to the Netherlands until Saturday morning.
Hope you told him to keep up the good work. Absolutely smashing it over there with 1 assist and 0 goals after 21 games.
Venlo have announced that Sinclair isn't staying with them. The loan ranger will be off out again. I'm guessing Belgium. How long left on the payroll for him?
It's easy to be critical with the benefit of hindsight. However, Liverpool wanted to keep him, he had a lot of promise and £4m to a Premier League club was a punt worth taking. He looked ok in a cup match I saw him in, I think it was Burton, but then his career nosedived. Win some, lose some.
Bit like Jordan Ibe. Was a great hope at Liverpool- got sold to another Premier league club and hardly seen again. Mind you least Sinclair hasn't crashed into a shop yet !
I would like Javi Gracia to have a chance to look at him in preseason and see whether he thinks he can get something out of him. Home grown so won't take up a squat place.
Yes bound to come good if we stick with him long enough. Just like Success and Penaranda. Don't want him to come back and bite us in the backside like Dom Foley, Keith Cassells and Liam Henderson.
