Capoue generally does a fantastic job of upsetting the opposing teams star player.

Dare say he would have been smashed himself last night, celebrating scoring and getting a point yesterday, our best chance is that he still has a hangover!

Grealish for all his petulance is the best young midfielder in England and playing in a terrible team. Need to keep tabs on him but Trezeguet and Luiz have picked up form and that youngster Indiana Vassilev is a promising player too. Win the midfield and we should do well. They are a shambles defending set pieces as well. Pussetto will need to hit the ground running on his full debut.

Same team for us barring that although Pearson may be tempted to bring in Kabasele alongside Cathcart.

I’m assuming Pereyra for Sarr and Pussetto on the bench. But you may be right

  6. How he gets away with his constant in-the-face-of-the-ref attitude is beyond me.

Should be an instant card the first time he does it but refs seem to put up with him all game, occasionally booking him in the last few minutes.

Nervous about this one. Sarr's pace and skill is such an important part of how we play. If he's out (which I assume he will be) his replacement - Pereyra? - just isn't going to provide that constant danger and tie up their left side all game. Pussetto has similar attributes to Sarr but I'm not sure Pearson will see him as ready for a start just yet.

We are still a better team overall, but the difference becomes more narrow.

Every win in the bank now is huge, so I hope we can do it. I have a feeling, come the end of the season, neither us nor Villa will be going down. My money's on Bournemouth, Norwich, Burnley.

Don't smash him, taunt him. He'll take the bait.

There are quite a few reasons as to why we have gone on an unbeaten run of 6 games, Pearson, Deeney and Sarr are just three of them, however Sarr has been monumental in his play and come on leaps and bounds, if he is out it will be interesting to see how we manage without him and whether we can create as many chances as recently!

Even after our fantastic run of 4 wins and 2 draws or 14 points from the last possible 18, we're still only one bad result from dropping back into the relegation zone.

A defeat at Villa will see us in the bottom three once more, with just 14 games to play. That would be a concern. If we win we go 4 points clear of Villa and is bound to lift us higher than 17th, so putting more clubs beneath us, which is so important. A draw would ensure Villa do not overtake us, so wouldn't be a total disaster.

But certain games come along during a season which you just have to win, to ensure the rest of the season unfolds in the direction you want it to. Tuesday is certainly one of those games. So far we've passed these tests at Norwich, Bournemouth and at home to Villa. We need this to continue. If we win this, then it takes pressure off other fixtures.

The Villa game is massive, but also massive for them too. First goal, as always is so important in these games.

We might be lucky to get this game before Samatta's International clearance.

Yes, they have a keeper in place but much the same side we beat with 10 men.

First goal will be so important but we are a totally different proposition now. Only through incredibly bad luck are we going to lose matches when our 90min performances are strong.

    It really should be this.

Sure, Pussetto made an excellent clearance, but that aside he just didn't look ready yet and up to the pace and physicality of the game - Eriksen comfortably out-muscled him off the ball twice, Eriksen, one of the most languid midfielders in the league.

I suspect he'll still need time to adjust and this game is too soon for him to start.

Its not very clever to spread rumours of people that are alive having died!

I am glad to say that as of this morning both Peter and Andy Kennedy are alive!

Because he is the captain, his defence is that he is having a meaningful discussion with the ref!

He was shouting in the referee's face fairly aggressively in the reverse fixture can't see how that was not a card.

Wins for NU and Burnley makes this game even more important. I reckon it's now a 15-pointer.

Hope with the away wins at Norwich and muff and the 3-0 already against this lot, mentally we already have the upper hand.
1st goal would be massive shutting them up and if Troy getting it would really piss them off.

There is around a third of the season still to play. No doubt we will drop in to the bottom three at some stage between now and the end of May. It doesn't matter. All that matters is being 17th or above after 38 games and our results and performances since QSF was kicked in to touch have given us every chance of doing that. We're going to lose a few games between now and the end of the season, so don't start wetting yourselves again when we do. In Sir Nigel (Mk2) we trust!

Given that we’ve never really been in any danger of relegation until this point, it’s quite strange to find myself so nervous in the build up to every single game. This game feels like a cup final.

I guess it does heat dreading every single fixture under QSF just sucking us closer to the Championship with no sign of escape. At least under P&S we have a jetpack with thrusters. Just need to keep
    adding to the fuel.

Muff and Norwich look doomed. Just need to be better than one more team. One of those teams is villa so getting anything out of this game is massive but not the end of the world if we don’t. Plenty of twists and turns to come.

Need a big victory to keep the momentum going, could really do with thumping somebody to make our goal difference better

    Aston Villa 0 Watford 4

Capoue to blow Grealish a kiss, resulting in a fight that sees them both sent off

The Cup Final was entirely my fault.

I’m confident that if I’d just stayed put, we’d have won comfortably.

My selfish decision to attend the game made it entirely impossibly for us to win, and continued a jinx that no manager since Dyche has been able to break.

Given that I’ll be nowhere near Villa Park on Tuesday, I’m confident that our luck will hold.

We could put 4 points between us and the bottom 3.

I believe we will have the fight for its, even without Sarr.
