Ashley Barnes having a hernia operation.

Refs told to use the pichside screen more for potential red card incidents.

So not much change really - just for Kabasele type incidents.

You will still get the same mess with offsides and handballs.

    So given our draw...

    We want Spam to lose
Norwich to win or at least draw.
    Villa to lose.

    C'mon football gods.

    Villa equalise.

VAR over ruled 2 penalty decision in 2 different games.

And according to the BBC were right calls.

    Bad officiating on the pitch?

    Screen being used at Norwich.

    All took ages though!

If we can beat Villa on Tuesday then we can start to get some distance on the drop zone.

I have Newcastle v Chelsea on in the background. We might not be last on MotD.

If there's just one game that finishes goalless, is it always the last on MotD, unless it's between two big clubs?

Would've thought the Brighton game was a better choice - not a classic by all accounts, at least our game provided some talking points, the penalty, the miss and the goal that wasn't.

I don’t really get the shadenfreude surrounding Bournemouth’s fall. I understand that it’s wrong to portray them as a small club in financial terms, but that backing wouldn’t be there if they hadn’t achieved Premier League status, so a small club is actually what they are. The majority of their fans love Eddie Howe for pulling them up from the depths when they looked finished, and rightly so. Most of the animosity from some of our fans seems to stem either from an accidental rivalry from when we were promoted together, or from a perceived injustice over some of their tactics in certain matches. The latter could apply to any number of teams we’ve had clashes with over the years and it’s rather petty and tiresome to perpetuate such bad feeling over a long period of time.
I think we should celebrate that another small club, rather like ourselves, has been able to punch above its weight and at times shake up the ‘natural order’ of things so beloved of the football establishment. If they go down, I for one hope they are replaced by a Brentford rather than a Leeds.

Brighton are really in the mix now, they were almost as poor and ragged as Villa.

Not a great sign of things to come on the refereeing front. Darren England being given a go yesterday for the first time in the PL in the Saints v Wolves and missed the most blatant penalty you’ll ever see in your life. Bailed out by VAR but ridiculous all the same.

A blatant penalty when seen from in front. He gave a corner so he thought the defender played the ball before the man. Exactly the type of decision that the extra angles of VAR enable the correct decision to be made.

Yeah it’s a good news story for VAR. I thought it was a dead cert pen from the first view on the standard tv angle. And the ball didn’t move during the tackle, so if he thought that he needs his eyes testing.

Leicester seem to be suffering the same way Chelsea are.

Vardy's penalty was worse than Troy's.

Bugger. How nice the table would have looked if Troy and Vardy had put those pens away.
