Very entertaining preview. Shame about much of what follows.

 

As soon as we attack them and push players forward, we will get done on the counter by the pace & trickery of Haller, Antonio and Anderson.

 

Hopefully Javi will work on the offside trap. No better time with VAR.

Much more pace up front, less likely to hoof it, the two lazy show ponies reduced to the bench, along with captain lump a lot. More protection for the full backs, a midfielder who can move the ball around and do the simple things, more ability to push and press.

Basically an improvement on the shower of Sh** we have watched so far

This is my first game of the season. Win, lose, draw, 1 thing is certain, things will start to become clearer after the game about our early season form.

Took a look on one of West Ham’s forums. They are all very complimentary about Doucouré & Capoue and say if they don’t play 3 in the middle then those two will dominate the game. The other name many of them mention is Deulofeu. They also seem very aware of our bad form stretching over from the end of last season. All very sensible and pretty knowledgeable from what I read.

Short memory. The bloke who hasn't contributed since Huddersfield away (and just prior to that contributed the outstanding moments of the entire season) has in fact contributed to our last two goals by intercepting two back-passes and scoring one himself and providing the assist for the other. But he's obviously not contributing enough. Oh well ...
