I'd have thought all the Liverpool trolls would have their own forums to bore to death. If you want to get a bite, try something more believable than pretending to be Watford fans scared of a hiding or praying for a point. Maybe just pretend like you really believe you can win the league. That would get us biting!
Rugby has introduced bonus points so why shouldn't we? 2 points docked for parking ticket & traffic jam. Otherwise, difficult to confuse to confuse Oxford & Blackpool. Shirt colour?
Blackpool away was the worst game I ever went to. I was hung over, and their pitch was almost luminous green. All around was bright orange and glaring yellow. It was horrible viewing, not least because of the football style at the time.
Their forum is weird https://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/400249-Liverpool-v-Watford-27-02-20-00-KO-Anfield/page3 In 3 pages only one mention of Watford, could t see any reference to our players or how we play or if we are a threat or going to be beaten easy , no banter , FFS Liverpool fans get a grip
Jeez, how dry & tedious. 'Gegenpressing' offers this: 'Alisson Trent Matip VVD Robertson Fabinho Wijnaldum Shaqiri Firmino (Keita) Mane Salah.' If he is Klopp (& the name is suggestive), isn't he rather letting the cat out of the bag? And if he is not Klopp (more likely), what is the point of the post? He predicts this line up? Or desires this line up? Oddly, all the names are correctly spelt.
Rosso76 appears to be their very own TVOR, with liberal use of emojis and !!!! I found it strangely comforting.
They do that on our forums as well, they sign up, pretend to be blues but always having a little dig. They always out themselves in the end. We no longer think of them as a football team, we see them as a cult. Weird creatures.
We won at Burnley this year of course but our reckon against them and Preston used to be pretty hopeless. In Yorkshire however our record is good so whilst we will lose lets hope Leeds and Sheffield United come up!
Agree with all the comments so far. They are without doubt the worst bunch of entitled fans in the Premier League and it would be fantastic to be instrumental in them bottling the title. Klopp is an absolute **** on the sidelines, constantly berating officials and opposition managers. But he gets away with it in the media because he's a good laugh in interviews after they've won a game. Salah is a disgraceful cheat, but is never called out on it by the Liverpool-heavy media. Would be great if they could end up empty handed again this season and Firmino and Salah leave for better teams, allowing them to return to their rightful position of 5th-6th best team in the country and give the rest of us a break from their arrogance and incessant high pitched whining.
If we win Rodney Marsh might eat his hat. If we are awarded a penalty I might eat mine. If Deeney scores a penalty he might eat...
I've looked at 4 different Liverpool forums. If they even have a match thread, they don't mention their opponents. Hope we smash them.
I honestly don't believe it's intended as a lack of respect to us or anyone else. It's just a different way of consuming sport. Soccer, in this case. Whereas we enjoy football with all its highs and lows, extending our interest in the game to clubs from all divisions, taking almost as much delight in the fact that the Oystons have finally been f***ed off from Blackpool as their own fans do, Liverpool fans aren't like that. I doubt more than 15% know where Blackpool is on the map. All they are interested in is the result being in their favour. Winning is everything, which is why they don't support Trammere. Or their local club in Stockholm or Delaware. The result could literally be reported as "Liverpool 3-0" and they'd be happy not knowing anything else. I can't wrap my head around what pleasure they get from it, but they obviously do - and it's harmless.
We are never going to smash them. However, like Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo I do sense a little blood in the water. Our tails are up and unless Liverpool start well I think we can compete. I hope Henderson plays as he doesn't seem to relish playing us. Midfield will be key. They have probably lost Firmino who makes them tick and should be more fatigued than us. If Foster continues his imperious form and we keep our shape at the back, anything is possible. This is our best chance at Anfield for many a year. Don't be fooled by our 3 - 0 defeat at home, when we should have had a penalty when Hughes was taken out by Robertson. Trent scored a wonderful free-kick and I really rate him but we we did compete for large parts of that game. Liverpool are definitely looking weary and they are the ones under real pressure to perform. The pundits and their fans think they can just turn the tap back on but I am not so sure. Keep Mane quiet and cause their backline some trouble and you never know. This is bold but it could actually end up as a 1 - 1 draw.
I think you’ve just distilled down the essence of the modern football fan in the live TV/internet age. Well done.
Would love us to beat them but don't think we'll get anything. Either way I'd still prefer them to win the league over the others in the top 6. Sorry!
Spot on, but only Liverpool are like this. All the other big teams are relatively normal. It's just really weird. Like a cult.
Odd, & splendid, how dire Yorkshire are at football. Hull has been GOC’s top team over the last decade.
And Geri had one ruled out in the first minute. I’m not saying it was close but with a different hairstyle, it would have stood.
“Watford are unbelievable this year in counter attacks and they're 100% consistent and could make the top six, there are so many performances in which they play like a top-six side and have done a really good job doing that.” Jurgen Klopp
I hope Liverpool win as I prefer them to win the title, we should do everything in our power to ensure this happens, it's for the greater good and keeps Man City away from the top spot.
He doesn't mean a word of course. Just the standard "bigging up" the opposition so that any dropped points are a little more excusable. Just falls short of saying "...so a point against them would be a good result".
Blue, I have nothing against Everton fans and a fairly deep dislike for Liverpool so please take this the right way. I want Liverpool to destroy Everton on Sunday so that Silva gets even more pressure to be fired. Simple as that.
I suspect Everton will win tonight, giving him a stay of execution. The same thing happened here, it was clearly going downhill then Leicester turned up on Boxing Day and handed us 3 points and by extension another 3-4 weeks of Silva.
I know, but it's always nice to hear these comments, even if it is all bollox. McClaren bigged us up and lost, Warnock bigged us up and lost...….and they say things go in threes!!
