John Lewis/Waitrose - Going Bust

  1. Had to laugh at the picture captioned "A man believed to be part of the travelling family group outside Burger King." The size of him suggests that he actually is the Burger King.

They sound like the same group that ran amok through Brisbane in Feb/March last year.

Something that caught my ear/eye was the publishing of of this. First of all, John Johnson starts to speak in "what sounds like our accent" before breaking into Pikey. The next was a written exchange between a frequent Brit visitor to NZ and an ex-pat who
    now lives there:

Have we become numb to this sort of stuff now?

Also, something I did find interesting was that all of this occurred in urban(a) Kiwiland - I'm assuming that among the rural/Maori population it would have received a more, ahem, forthright response.

Won't honour vouchers when in administration.

£100 might get a couple of those nespresso pods if you like coffee.

There is no chance of John Lewis going bust!, it still makes profits, but it is very small (percentage wise) on turnover, it has and is always making steps to be more efficient, however not having outside shareholders is not as ruthless as company's which do! Their are a lot of company's out there who would like to have the sort of balance sheet the John Lewis Partnership has!
