"But where have I most enjoyed my time as a manager? Watford. And why?

For me, the Premier League is the place. The place where every manager and player wants to work. You have the organisation of the competition – right from the start, you know which day you’re going to play against each team – and the way people feel and live and breathe football. All of that ends up captivating you.

I feel very proud of the work we did there. There were wonderful feelings, the year we got to the semi finals of the FA Cup at Wembley. It was an incredible honour for all of us to be there. The goal in the league was to stay up, and we achieved that by February. I think the foundations were laid for a project that is growing year on year.

On a personal level, it was a time that opened up my mind as a manager. With a different language and culture. I think all of us who have worked in the Premier League can say afterwards that we improved for the experience."

I'm so pleased he enjoyed the FA Cup Semi final. I did too. Well, up until the lineup was announced. The ****.

Played Almen Abdi at left back. The ****.

In really happy for him. But I wonder how he'd feel to know that watching his team in the second half of that season was so boring that fans (me) felt physical pain in their testicles. 100% true fact.

Now the fogs are beginning to clear, we see more sharply the merit of QSF’s achievements.

    By results, outstanding.

Fans of tika taka could have doubled up with an @rsenal season ticket.

Yep. I agree with the chap above. The second greatest manager in the history of our club.

Imagine if we had a statue of him. It'd be permanently covered in girls undercrackers and love letters.

A bit gung ho to be building statues to Quique just yet.

The brief to the sculptor should be to find a likeness midway between QSF, Slav & Furphy so we can make our minds up when the time comes.

If you look back at the state of that squad it's a miracle he kept us so comfortably and got us to a FA Cup Semi-Final - sure the Football was **** in the second half of the season but another manager would've probably taken us down with about 8 points.

The style of football was dull but I have to confess I find the whole Premier League experience dull so I find it hard to be critical of him from my own personal point of view.

Don’t have a bad word to say about him as opposed to the two people who followed him into the role. Plus, he was a dreamboat to look at.

It's took me 6 months to stop crying and 2 years to stop dreaming about him. He was a 9 on the "coolness" scale. Mazz was a 3. Marco was a 7 but now a zero. Gracia, great manager, but a 2.

Mazzarri gets 2 points for the rugged manly looks, 1.5 points for the cool shades and 1 point for the sharp suits. Plus 1.5 points for being a smoker.

    An easy 6 for me.

Maybe. But he's no QSF. Gets marked down at least 2 for replacing him. You obviously go for "the bad boys".

Why did we ever let him go? Our manager could have graced the cover of GQ magazine and we dumped him. We should be relegated just for that. I've fallen in love all over again.

"One Saturday afternoon, someone rang at the door. My mother avoided the bottle caps as best she could and opened the door. It was my aunt Lola (Flores, a famous flamenco dancer and film actress). When she came in, she saw the pitch I had there. She didn’t take any notice, but my mother did: “This kid puts all this stuff here, where it’s a nuisance.”
My aunt just took a big step over it all. “Leave him. If this kid is doing that, it’s because he has something in his head
    .”

This was his aunt. She was very famous internationally in her day and was considered an icon of traditional Andalusian folklore. She appeared in 39 movies and recorded numerous albums. She actually does have a statue.. in the Flores home town of Jerez.

Quique ruined Abdi. He was on the verge of the Ballon d'Or and now he's just a crocked Championship player.

    Different Lola!

I'm the Kinks & you're, erm, Barry Manilow.

Yours ends in a fight, mine in, erm, a little surprise for our naive narrator:

'Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
    But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
    And so is Lola'
