Had to open a new thread as all the other Richarlison ones are closed. Not directly Watford related, but no doubt we'd have a decent sell on clause if this transfer were to go through. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/02/...adrid-have-held-talks-with-everton-forward-r/ https://www.beinsports.com/us/laliga/news/report-atletico-madrid-met-with-richarlison-r/1111925 https://www.90min.com/posts/6295489...id-as-european-giants-monitor-everton-forward
Alternatively, if there is no clause, Everton will be laughing all the way to the bank considering the season he's had !
Hopefully you are right - wonder if we will ever find out. Did they get a % of the fee Arsenal paid to Barca ? I'm sure it's routine when a youngster is let go for a low fee but not sure it's so routine when it's a major fee being paid.
I hope I'm right! The thing is with the Pozzos, they keep their cards close to their chest so hardly any nitty gritty details are volunteered by the club - and quite rightly. As Richarlison's only 22 he's effectively got another 10 years or so, and if he lives up to his potential then he'll have at least one more big money move - I'm convinced Gino would have put a sell on. I think he'll be more suited to Spain as the defences aren't as physical and he'll pick up loads more free kicks through his histrionics - I'm not convinced he's got the right attitude for the PL.
He might not turn out to be such a dud if he moved to a proper club that had coaches with a modicum of ability!
He's young. Everton would be better off selling some of those older midfielders they have and retooling there.
Who gives a ****. I liked the player but have no affiliation with him. Saturday was the last chapter and we shut the book.
Complete non-story. As pointed out by the article, no way Atletico would even be able to pay a fee matching what Everton paid to us, and I can't imagine Everton would say for less than what they paid.
Well, if they sold him at a £5m loss, and Sliva walked out because of it, it could save them £10m in compensation because they don't have to sack the ****.
The lad’s attitude is fine. But he’s clearly not top notch. Gets in the right position & then misses. You can’t train that. It’s natural.
A.Madrid aren't the most attacking of teams - would he get frustrated there at a lack of forward play? Suppose they would use his pace on the counter attack.
They play Thomas Lemar on the left, and have Morata, Griezzmann and Diego Costa. Hard to see where he gets a game in amongst that lot.
In which case they might be better served by signing Holebas, who made him look like a sloth in the Everton home match.
Tbf it is just that one, very brief, shot. I've only seen the ad once but sure most teams had two or more. Burnley three at least.
Hopefully there is a sell on clause but either way if Richarlison finds his way to Barcelona it reflects well on us and could persuade other young stars to come to Watford in the future.
Lots of people saying it’s Everton spinning a story through Moshiri and Jim White. Seems to be common knowledge that Barcelona are hard-up and have been trying to loan players in this month as a reason - suddenly they now have €100m+. Not sure the story is true to be honest.
