In my experience ‘Human Resources’ personnel embody an oxymoron within the description.

Nothing at all 'odd' about The Maytrix Group getting £27K from Capt Tom's fund nor Club Nook (Directors: Mr & Mrs Ingram-Moor) getting a similar amount. The £54 grand is just the tip of the iceberg for the admin fees.

 

I think you'll find this is classified as an anti-Captain Sir Tom hate crime. I'll be reporting you to the authorities for your blasphemy.

 

This does need explaining, in particular the fundraising and marketing fees. They look hideous and his daughter has done herself no favours by being so obvious in her promotion of the whole thing.

However, sometimes it’s easy to for people to shout OMG consultants! Aren’t they the very devil’s work! when this can simply mean you paid a bean counter and some admin without putting them on a salary. Receiving a £1m as a charity needs a bit of looking after and there are obligations. The fact that these were done by consultants! is neither here nor there if there is probity. ‘If’ being the key word here.

I don’t see that the good Captain is especially to blame here, particularly not for milking it post his departure from this life.

He wanted to raise some money, he did and people may benefit from that. Let’s just hope those people are not solely his family and part of ensuring that happens is dragging their actions into the light for scrutiny.

 

I agree to be fair, but it would still be funny to hear about his wartime activities in Burmese brothels or something. If only to embarrass his horrific family.

Make no mistake about it, this family are bigger villains than the Maxwells.

It's only a matter of time before it turns out Captain Tom was in fact a senile homeless old duffer they stole from the streets, with a haircut and a fancy dress costume.
