Can someone advise on which Elton John song was played last night? I've read that it was I'm Still Standing, Rocket Man and Circle Of Life so far.

I'm not saying Watford fans are a bunch of bumbling idiots who don't what theire talking about but you know.

Saturday Night would be an excellent choice given L*t*n’s inevitable ascent to the top tier.

Once Tozser returns from his loan spell, or indeed Bachman from his, the obvious choice would be Song for Guy.

Why does it have to be an Elton song?

Watford has been blessed with many fine singers.

Silent Whisper would be a nice doff of the cap towards the support from the UGT.

Personally, Z Cars bores me and if I had my preference, I'd have the team walk out to this.

    That dive was truly pathetic.

Monreal did something similar in their penalty area in the first half

I was just thinking of this.

And just thinking that this was your neck of the woods.

One of the longer tracks on the album.

I don’t really agree it was a fantastic performance. We were fantastic for the first nine minutes maybe, but then two senior players showed the lapses of concentration and discipline that doom a side to mid-table.

It was certainly a spirited effort, but let’s not kid ourselves, a mediocre Arsenal were mostly comfortable. It’s a home game that was there for the taking 11 v 11 and that’s disappointing.

Got no rhythm, to be precise (if ungrammatical).

Deeney “I’m going to whack Arsenal players to see if they’re up for it”

FA Memo #305 (Classified, not to be discussed outside) to match officials:

‘Troy Deeney of Watford has made comments related to aggressive behaviour on the pitch towards opposition players.
The FA management notes these comments and we will not publicly query them. However, please keep a special note and watch Mr Deeney in play as the FA would like to pull Mr Deeney down a peg or two. It is the FA’s opinion that the harshest sanction possible should be imposed if Mr Deeney is seen showing any untoward aggression, especially on players of The Six’.
    Memo ends.

Lino to Pawson “Deeney put his arm across Arsenal’s player who fell to the ground”.
Pawson “I didn’t see it but Ah, memo 305! Can I justifiably produce a red card.”

Lino “Normally, no, but memo 305 applies”

Pawson (thinks) ‘Good, a feather in my cap with FA management’
To Deeney, “Troy, sorry but your elbow was in the Arsenal player’s face, seen by my assistant. Red card, early bath for you..”

Foster to blame? He made a mistake, how about Troy for putting his arm in the Arsenal players face (harsh or not), Gray for missing a chance. You win and lose as a team. I know you're Northern Irish but there were better players than Cathcart last night. Kabesele, Capoue (I know you mentioned him), Hughes, Doucoure. He played well but let's not go over the top

So, Arsenal came to little old outside the big 6 meaningless tin pot generic club and did the following.

Changed ends to try and take away an edge
Dived and tried to gain small advantages that way
    Changed their formation
    Got outplayed by 10 men
    Celebrated their shocking victory

And yet still the pundits and their fans try and talk like they are the be all and end all. I don’t normally get wound up by stuff like this but I have this time.

They may not get the credit they deserve but our manager and team are doing an absolutely amazing job this season. Just a couple of high level signings away from something even more special

I'm English and I saw no better players than Cathcart last night, except maybe Janmaat. And Capoue ran them close

Personally I think if the FA wanted to bring him down a peg or two, they would have looked at his comments about systematically fouling Zaha. Or banned him for his middle-finger celebration against Chelsea.

He wasn’t sent off because he was Deeney or said he’d whack an Arsenal player. He was sent off because he put himself in a situation to be red carded and the linesman guessed at what he’d seen. I think Pawson immediately though yellow, but wanted to ask his linesman - his linesman said if he’s caught him, it was with an elbow. And that’s a red card obviously.

Doucoure is having a good season. It just doesn’t stand out as much as last season because those around him (especially Capoue) are far out-doing their performances of that same period of time. Harder for his efforts to stand out this year.

Unfortunately the linesman is behind him and it looks like an elbow. I still don't get why his arm is there in the first place. The ball is no where near him
