Sorry for random question not in any way related to what’s going on right now. We all know the team train in London Colney on the training ground previously occupied by Arsenal.

Where did we used to train before moving?

It was in Honeypot Lane, on a playing field that used to belong to the North West London Polytechnic College, I used to play for my first adult men's team that played there when I was in my early teens, my older brother did too.

Back in the 80’s my dad worked at the forces base in Northwood. He used to let the reserves/youth team use his pitches for free, can’t remember exactly where they were but when Steve Harrison got the job as Manager my old man was let go quite abruptly so along with that went the free rental of some well kept pitches.

I may have gone completely insane but I'm 99.9% certain they were training on the grass by Cherry Tree school and the Bill Everett Centre at some point in the late 90's for a few days for whatever reason. I'm sure I remember walking past as a young kid and kicking a ball back to Alec Chamberlain.

This may have been a dream.

Shendish Manor was a semi-regular venue in the late 1970s and early 1980s too. Was still the John ****inson-owned sports and social club facility at that time and had several full-size pitches.
