Usually a few transfers happen at the last minute but don't get announced in the press until a few hours, or even the morning after. I think we still have a few more hours of clinging on to some vague hope that we managed to squeeze a few last-minute deals over the line.
Deal sheet can be submitted before 5pm which allows clubs up to 7pm to submit the final paperwork. I would be surprised if any deals are announced after 7pm.
Okay now the windows closed I can comprehensively say that's an awful window. Okaka is still here, Prodl & Mariappa are still bench options. Any injuries in CM and we have a LONG season ahead. The fact Capoue is starting against Brighton when we have Doucoure, Hughes & Chalobah is a travesty.
That window was similar to many of our games last season. It started positively, became frustrating and ended in crushing disappointment.
Happy with our business. More than sufficient to keep us up comfortably for another season I'd reckon. Would perhaps have liked a new striker, but there's always January. Our signings have been astute and not bloody stupid like so many that have been done in the last couple of weeks. Shan't miss the dramatics and greed of Richarlison ("I thank God I play for Everton") at all to be honest.
Don't forget that foreign windows haven't closed, so Okaka may well leave - as may some of our crown jewels

Unfortunately, I don't see how we can afford to let him go now, especially if we're going to choose to mis-deploy the assets we do have as egregiously as implementing a 4-4-2 formation.

Fosu Mensah & Vietto to Fulham and £30 million on some midfielder Dedoncker to Wolves We might be doing it the smart way but it ain't half boring! I would've even taken Jordan bloody Ayew at this rate.
Surely when discussing the closing of the transfer window you have to say that it's 'slammed shut'. Sorry to be pedantic but I do think this is quite important

WTF is going on when Harry Arter preferred to sign for Cardiff when he apparently could have come to us according SSN I can only assume it was about money, which I can believe sadly
Fulham have spent 100mil, after flouting FFP on their way up. Absolutely mental: but they should be a good watch.
What we must remember is we still have the opportunity to off load somemore of our deadwood even though we cannot bring anyone in, so lets hope we can do that before the rest of Europes window closes.
We only need midfield cover for 6 months. Whoever came in was always going to be on loan and with little chance of it being permanent. Of course he went to Cardiff.
