Sounds like a cartoon character and by the sounds of it, plays like one. Yet another number to add to an already dead youth team. Sh*t-show. We deserve to be relegated.
To which we’ve spent a small fortune on to break the Chinese market - while everyone is quarantined and they’ve cancelled football until 2475 anyway.
I'm done! Who the **** is this bloke? How many U23's so we need? Can we just sign a defender for £15m that we can all get excited about until we see him play and it turns out he's worse than Neuton
Clearly just some lad Burnley found down the back of the sofa while we were haggling over a deal for Gibson - the even more budget option of our previous budget option, we were never going to turn down the chance.
On a slightly more serious note, he is exactly the same age as Sam Dalby and the two of them came through the Leyton Orient academy together - both also left at exactly the same time in 2018, with Dalby going to Leeds and Perkins going to Burnley. Dalby will know him very well then and so must have given the club decent feedback. It suggests he's likely to be another prospect though at a similar stage in his development to Dalby, rather than an immediate first-teamer. His contract was also close to expiring, and who knows if Burnley were offering him a deal or whether he just preferred the option of coming back to the London area. Our U23 defence appears as if it could do with some improvement given the state of Bennett, but of course our first team is in even more urgent need of being upgraded.
He’s been on loan at Ramsbottom this season, so he’ll be match ready when we sign him. I heard we are aiming to build from the back and are looking to also sign his brother Travis as part of the deal. He’s solid as a brick.
