    Its gonna be tricky for Team Good to get lucky with a lynching. With 25 contestants and only 2 wolves and 1 traitor thats roughly a 1 in 8 chance of evil to good.

    As much as I feel bad for Diamond... I'm going to do the only thing I can logically do given I have been named in one of the messages.

    The fact that Diamond has been named as good to me could indicate that someone is trying to protect him by making it appear he is good.

    To me this seems a better option than voting to lynch a random which has backfired so often in the past.

    My apologies Diamond if you have just randomly been named by the wolf in their first message!

    Just because he is inactive squibba doesn't mean its a wasted vote though. We save potentially another innocent village, there is a chance he is still an evil character too. Put it this way there is pretty much nothing else to go on here.

    Totally agreed! A complete waste of a vote by going for an inactive. Better off going for a completely random choice inc. Diamond or Ashdon.

    Disagree, if one is inactive and EVIL they are only benefitting Team GOOD. And if their inactivity continues they will be automatically lynched by HO.

    I'm not so sure about the tactic either.

    I'm so convinced that Coomes isn't going to post that I'm offering a bumper 20/1 special, if you get in before 6pm tonight.

    If they are a wolf, then a wolf kill might be wasted tonight, and they will likely be killed off by Harrow tomorrow.

    Just as likely as anyone else to be good or evil though? Either way, inactive players don't make for much fun and it is after all a game.

    I'm sorry but I don't see it that way Daft. We have absolutely nothing to go on today, other than the fact that one of either Ashdon or Diamond have a minor chance of being evil. I think its better to get rid of an inactive who has as good a chance as either of those and better than one of those two of being an evil character? We can then start afresh tomorrow morning.

    For someone who has run many a game and has a good grasp of the strategy of the game I'm a bit surprised at this. You've said it yourself that either myself of Diamond have a minor chance... what is therefore the point in voting for someone who will get killed off for not playing any part anyway? It's a wasted vote and complete cop out.

    Read the thread and apply logic.

    Put it this way, if I don't survive the night as I wholeheartedly expect not to, I hope people read back a bit more.

    I think in future anyone without say 4-500 posts shouldn't be allowed in unless they can guarantee availability to play. Too often new posters have signed up and then not posted at all. It spoils it a bit.

    If we know he is bad then definetly yes, obviously. But it's just guessing today really. Diamond has gotten a bad deal many games, as has Ashdon. I feel those who have run games ( apart from
    Swine like meh! ;-) ) deserve at least one days play?!?

    So your suggesting that we vote for who? You? Or diamond?

    All I'm suggesting that it is most likely that your both innocent, which is surely correct? The wolf is hardly likely to play a double bluff this early, and try to cover themselves. Therefore unless you or diamond are a beta wolf or a traitor then logic states that you are both good and should be considered as such.

    A vote for an inactive might seem like a waste, but is it really a waste if it saves one other good player who is actually contributing?

    I have run games, and the inactives are what ruins the game. To me it seems stupid and unfair to vote for either of you two today when we have as good a chance of getting an evil character by voting for the inactive.

    Anyway I need to go to spinning, ill be back later.

    Strange voting patterns on day one. Hmmmm. That may be significant.

    Not the people who voted for randoms but the people voted for, seems often to be a clue. Evil seems to lock onto "who voted an odd choice and caused confusion" whereas it's much more likely someone is placing a little clue

    Hi all. Afternoons always going to be tricky as I am on chauffeur duty. I agree with the "vote an inactive" strategy for day one, for the good of the game if nothing else. Diamond and Ashdon have both been named as good; one by the Seer, one by the wolf. Very much doubt wolf would name himself as good on day one so most likely a random pick by the wolf. Both are active players; both could quite likely be good; both deserve to stay in at least until tomorrow when things may be clearer. When I was the beta wolf, I chose an inactive player for my first kill. It may not have been the most strategically correct kill but I felt it was better for the game overall and fairer on those who wanted to play (& evil still won anyway, haha!). I feel the same about the lynch vote today. As usual, nothing concrete to go on at the end of Day 1 so will be voting for an inactive player.
