I wouldn't expect a suspended player to be allowed to train with the others, as shown in Pereyra's Instagram video the other day.
Pretty sure he's played an u23 game for us since the Man City game so can't be a drugs ban as he wouldn't be allowed to play any football. Edit: he's not shown as suspended on the FA website either.
And again would we not know that? You can bet the tabloids would have been onto it. Probably just had a row but unlike Capoue not been forgiven - wouldn't surprise me as Okaka does seem like the sort to dispute something. Or maybe there was some sort of clause in his contract about number of games/goals that you sometimes hear players have but then the club don't want to enforce it!
Silva doesn't like Okaka as he doesn't fit in to his philosophy. I think he's quite arrogant, so we could lose the next 7 games 6-0 and have all our strikers injured and he still wouldn't get any where near the starting line up. It's a real shame, but fortunately we have a team good enough to pick up the goals around Gray. Looking forward to getting a new striker in January to replace Okaka.
I would imagine they are already regretting letting him go now that Morata is injured. He’s immeasurably better Batshuayi.
If he is on a season long loan, they may have to buy replacements in January, so would still leave him surplus....Grasps at straws!!!
In Troys BT after match interview yesterday, in the part when he is talking about the difference the new manager has brought, he says some players have had to catch up with the new approach and some have fallen by the wayside. Not sure if Okaka was a Mazzarri recommended signing, and just does not fit in with Silvas methods. I wonder if Okaka has played his last game for us and will be off in January.
He might do but he has struggled to hold a place in Spanish league so unlikely to be premiership quality yet. I would like to get him in and out him on loan to a Championship side to toughen him up
I'm sure it was said / written in the first couple of weeks of the season, that Okaka had had a row with Silva and therefore is being frozen out
More interested in Juan Camilo Hernandez at SD Hupscale than Penaranda at the moment. 5 goals and 3 assists in 10. Not bad for 18. Not had a chance to see him play yet. Be interesting to hear from anybody who has, or any streams. OK it's not LA Liga but still impressive.

A day on and still, whenever I think of this photo I laugh. Mainly as I can picture most of the squad ******* themselves when they saw it.
If they dont lively up themselves they could be waiting in vain. However I wouldnt put it past Deeney and Gray to have shot the sheriff , so they might have to make a sharp exodus.
It's a real pity he is not on the bench. His physical presence and speed yesterday could have worked wonders as a replacement for Deeney.
I've not ploughed through this thread so my question may already have been answered, but I would appreciate an answer if any one knows this: - Why is Okaka not getting anywhere near the team at the moment? I know we do not know how he is performing in training etc., but from what I remember he started the season very well, then was just dropped for no obvious reason? Does anyone know the answer to this?
Horses for courses I reckon mainly. And most of the courses we're facing has speed and pace in 'em, which our Stef aint got.

Thanks for that Jossy, but as for the 2nd article, in which Silva says everyone at the club knows why Okaka is not playing, am I the only one who does not know why, or are any of you in the same boat as me?
