To be fair OAs are too big for their boots, most rugby clubs in the county would not shed a tear if Saracens relegation has a negative affect on OAs.

Just a training game today as they'll be saving themselves for next Saturday's match?

Actually both teams turned out training sides but it was still nice to watch Exeter get beaten.

As for the main event on Saturday (for Sarries) will the loss of, the idiot, Farrell come back haunt them?

That was brutal. The 2nd half was definite brown trousers time.

Farrell's ban is up before the semi with Racing? Please, please let the final be against Exeter...

No, they're all good teams. It's just a nice bit of "...revenge is a dish best served cold..." for those loveable tykes from the South West.

Bedford Blue next season. A bit of a come down. Expect more of the playing staff will move on especially if the team cannot return to the Premiership for two seasons.

Watching with a sense of boredom as Sarries surgically dismembered Exeter I think I realised what it must be like watching Man City week in / week out...

I wonder if they've got the lazy swagger of an 'unbeatable' side. They should have got Friday's match stitched up literally seconds before half-time if it wasn't for Jamie George being an absolute spanner and getting a Sarries penalty overturned...

Now Farrell is cited for a dangerous tackle (the ref refused the TMO's request to look at it in the match as it was in a previous phase of play) and could be out for a while (missing crucial six nations games).

Got the impression from a few pundits that they felt England needed to move on from Farrell anyway .

3-4 week ban (dependent upon attending course), should be OK for the Sweaties match, but I'm more worried about:

I think basically he had annoyed the powers that be (didn't Jones basically say English rugby was too posh?) and the media didn't like him so once a few bad results came in Jones was sacked.

Ex players were sad to see him go I think.

Football has so much to learn from rugby. Win or lose supporters of both teams will have mingled happily together while drinking a yard of their own pi55

I could whinge about the missed penalty try in the 2nd half and losing Billy Vunipola early on - but if you're giving away that many penalties against a very good team...

Oh well, just domestic silverware this season.

Was it a weak team again as this was an away game ?

Seems to me in Europe teams tend to play fringe sides when travelling then rely on home games to see them through

There were an awful lot of first team injuries and, TBF, every loose ball seemed to travel in the direction of a Bordeaux player, which coupled with Sarries' frightening levels of unforced errors...
