RP should start scoring again tonight, no wind, rain or cold.

Hopefully this means calamity Ken is consigned to the bench (or better still, the bin).

Just bought a Diet Coke in a restaurant and an image of Pereyra 37 shirt was on the side. A new step in Hornet visibility in my opinion.

On the preliminary squad for the friendlies against Morocco and Venezuela it looks like Scaloni has dropped Pereyra. This is as the list is still provisional. This might just be the kick in the pants he needs to get more involved on the pitch in demanding the ball if he wants to make the Copa America in Brazil.

Not sure why RP stays on for the full 90 mins instead of GD, does anyone else?

Selected surprisingly given Lamela has been omitted after his indifferent form. Scaloni has picked players in form generally (Icardi not picked because of the shenanigans at Internazionale with his wife and agent and Aguero fell out with Scaloni after the shambles in Russia last year) and is also experimenting with new goalkeepers which means a call up for Musso of Udinese.

Pereyra will probably play a bit part in one of the two matches against either Venezuela or Morocco. Penaranda and Amrabat will also feature.

Sebastian Beccacece who is currently coaching Defence & Justice and doing a wonderful job with a young team should be on Pozzo's list of future managers. A very shrewd tactician and develops young players playing hard nosed but attractive attacking football.

Fell out with Sampaoli before the World Cup after his player selections were ignored along with his advice. Turned out well for another bald fraud.

I know this isn't Pereyra's first Argentina selection of the season, but I still have to pinch myself when I see an actual, current Watford player alongside the world's elite like Dybala and GOAT himself (de Paul and Paredes aren't bad either).

    Mental.

    A great picture but GOAT?
I think there are a few others that sit above LM,in my opinion at least.
Equal best in this era I would agree.

I remember in the summer we were linked with an Argentine international or two but weren't convinced!

(Obviously not Messi lol, but still, we've come a long way!)

He is a bit head down/pensive in the above.

It’s like he’s just said Hertfordshire & Messi has had one of those snort/vomit in mouth reactions.

    Rough with the smooth.

Training at Real Madrid's sporting complex (second from left) in preparation for the two matches against Venezuela and Morocco. Pereyra is possibly going to play just the one match on the left hand side of midfield with Lo Celso and Paredes or Marcone. Not far for him to travel. All the Argentine players know each other well and keep in touch being far away from home. The same applies to Brazilians and Colombians and the like. As Roberto has made much mention of he is in touch on a regular basis with Foyth, Aguero for instance and he will be well aware of Montiel and Palacios.

    I think you're being generous.
Pass to AG in Palace cup game aside,I don' think he's been productive since November.
Shame but I expect he's gone.

He really hasn’t supported Javi for the last 6 months.

I will not be sorry to see RP go, and quite frankly I will be quite happy to see AD join him hopefully for copious amounts of cash. IMO that is the best thing those two can do for us, raise some cash so we can reinvest it in more consistent players.

Pereyra is far to inconsistent, even though he is brilliant at times.

As for Doucoure IMO although he wins the ball a lot, he also gives it away again equally as much with his bad passing.

I only hope that the world wide showcase of the FA Cup Final does not enlighten to many people to the fact that their alleged brilliance as players are somewhat over hyped, as that could knock several million off what they are perceived to be worth.

I doubt that he will go simply because his form and confidence are lacking. I think he needs one more player around him (2 would be better) who are on the same one-touch-and move level. That could be an overlapping left back, a CF or a midfielder. His interplay with blokes like Deulofeu when they are near each other is outstanding. He's never going to be a classic put-your-shoulder-down-hook the RB-and-get-into-the box kind of player.
