Anya Wanted by Sunderland, Cardiff and Palace apparently Doesn't seem to be an automatic starter based on pre-season, although the figure being mentioned is £1.5m, which is pretty embarrassing
More vultures flying over Watford.... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...iff-battling-for-1-5m-Watford-ace-Ikechi-Anya
I've been expecting this but more from clubs north of the border. £1.5m though - do they really only want half of him?
No way will we sell for £1.5. Half a year ago, before a few niggly injuries, he was worth 3/4 times that. Unless there's a strange contact situation going on, there is no way we should sell.
Must be just paper talk. This would be an entirely irrational sale, therefore, I do not think it will happen. But what the **** do I know?
Not so sure except for the bench maybe. If Ketch goes it won't be for less than 4 or 5m and that gives us a lot of scope.
This would be a real endorsement of the Pozzo Philosophy if someone does put £4m on the table - he was definitely on the shall we keep him / shall we ditch him list before he came here and excelled - so they will be confident in the opportunities to grow players for the English Market if this happens - personally i think the bidding will stop at about £3m and we will not accept that this year
With some of our new signings I think we might consider cashing in on him, but not at anything like the alleged £1.5m on offer; treble that and it might be worth considering!
We wont sell him. We don't need to and he's a very good championship player. He won't push for a move either.
Again we will want to try and can keep our quota of home grown players up so won't sell unless its a silly offer...
He needs the dosh to maintain his stylish wardrobe, especially some new socks to wear with his sandals.
Once his pace has gone he will be finished. He's never been the same player since he cut his hair anyway Cash in now, I say. £2.5m would be great business.
Hmmm, hopefully Paredes didn't come in because we were planning to or expecting to sell Anya. Good, versatile player in this league and lightning quick.
I like him, his liberal cosmopolitan attitudes and I really do hope he stays ... but sentiment aside, this little Duracell bunny has his limits and other clubs are getting wise to them. If the price is right we sell, if not he stays and no one will complain, least of all him.
Whilst I don't think he'd get into our best 11, selling him to another Championship club would be a mistake. I'm assuming Championship clubs are interested, he's not good enough for the Premier League but he's too good for the SPL.
