Would he be someone to fix the emotional turmoil of conceding all those dodgy penalties?

Finally, someone else has suggested this. Just need to give Gino a bell. In fact, scratch that, he'd probably give Giraldi the job!

With the break in play, had genuinely forgotten that Gino shat the bed and appointed Quique this season. What a disastrous choice.

Disastrous for sure... but we wouldn’t have got Nige without such a calamitous appointment and run of results. If we stay up it will have been an inspired decision, sort of.

If we go down, will we blame Gino for not sacking the coach immediately after the FA Cup humiliation? If he had who would have been appointed. Certainly not Person or Quique.

Difficult one. Whichever generic European coach we would’ve appointed would’ve almost certainly kept us up, but inevitably their impact would’ve worn off at some point this season or next and they would’ve been sacked in the same way as all the others. We would’ve then appointed our next generic European coach and so and so forth. If Nige can keep us up then appointing Quique would’ve been the best thing that could’ve possibly happened in the long run.
